Hay Guys/Girls This is my 1998 EL Gli (XR Faker) with a lil bit of a stroy to it. Was owned by my dad since new and had passed it onto me at the age of 14 (Almost 15) It was Bog stock except he changed the exhaust on it to a lukey cat back and Slotted Rotors, It was AUTO and was driven at night as for night shift and it slept under cover during the day (hence why the paint is still good) It was ALWAYS a reliable car and never broke down once! But then... It was handed down to me... DEN DEN DEN DENNNNN!!! After i got it, it droped a big end, Which left it off the road, out of action and dusty as for just over 6 months. This was when i decided to go manual and that lead me to where i am now... worse than before it started! The amount of times this has been on tow trucks is absolutely gay! My car has been spotted more times on a tilt tray than on the road. It hasnt been seen on a cruise for over a year now.

Now to recen times... It broke down again left it on my lawn for about 2-3 months and was at the stage of selling it, had a buyer but just couldnt let it go. Then it gave me motivation to spend some money on it again Lowered it on reset ultras till i got stickered and yeh

Pics of lowered. lowest point of car was not the exhaust was and had 2" to spare, bottomed out on the path bit of my driveway Will be lowered again to same height if not a tad lower when i get ahold of a set of 20's and hopefully soon with a set of coilies





Also picked up a genuine EL XR ticky kit. Alot of stuff in primer atm, Geting ready for full respray

I also painted up a rocker cover to body colour and i airbrushed some flames on it

Picked up another set of rims that ill throw on for the drags

Tinted another set of tail lights and painted the suround of it body colour, Also tinted head lights and front indicators... I know is totally not legal but yeh, so is alot of other stuff on the car ::)

Got a genuine Ticky EL XR6 Manual ECU, that has sorted all my electrical problems like the thermos

Can see the flames better in person, just i think the reflection from the spray booth makes it harder to see.

ashcook, Ill post up a build thread of the wagooon shortly. It goes in to get the rust cut out of the tail gate and inside the doors in 2 weeks. Then ill be rubbing the rest of the car down for full respray

Update.

Ive been heading the boosted way of things with a stage 4 snort kit with a garrett To4z, Was going to use the To4e but just yerr, I dont know but i just have the urge for the To4z :rolleyes:

On the body work side of things... Shaved the strips in my front bar. Had it cut out, moved and re plastic welded in again.

Also got genuine EL XR scoops, Not sure what ones ill use. Opinions?

EF (cat scratch) primed one on the right or EL? The white one on the left.
