i dont think i have been pulled over yet in this car, but i suspect that once i have put on an exhaust, dropped it to the ground, and put a massive sound system in that i may be attracting some form of attention to myself lol
but even still i never really got any special attention in my xr6 ute... and that thing was rather loud (headers, highflow cat, 2.5" pipe work and more or less no mufflers).

I have a full exhaust system on my old au, straight through muffler, high flow cat and headers, was loud as f**k

Was on the car for 5 years and i have never been pulled over for it

I could wake up the nieghbour hood lol

Before i sell it ill get a video done and you can see how loud it is

I have a turbo exhaust waiting to be fitted to my xt, but without engine work it's probs a touch too much for the i6. What krazed is planning in doing should be alright, twin 2.5". Or a straight through single 2.5"...
Depends what note and performance you are chasing... Also the budget.

The turbo exhaust is twin 2 1/4 inch if I did twin 2.5 wouldn't that be even bigger?

the exhaust i have off an FG XR6T is a single 3"... maybe the f6 fpv's are twin 2.25". but yeah twin 2.5 would be bigger then twin 2.25.

if you are wondering what twin 2.25" would be like then just wait a few months and ill tell you lol im potentially custom merging two XT exhausts together to make a new system for my xt. check my build thread for the details...

hmm alot of people have told me that the 3" would be too much for N/A... but i cant see how it would be tooooo much different to a twin 2.5". like i understand that a twin 2.5" would have a lot more surface distrubance, but hmm yeah... dont know...

i dont know what i am going to do with my 3" system if i end up liking my custom frankenstein setup... the only thing im planning to use off it will be the cat, apparently the turbo cats arent too bad as fair as stock goes or at least compared to the xt cats.

I had no issues with the dual 2.5" on the BA. This could of been because of the 4495's giving it more torque, but overall it was a lot quicker than extractors and 2.5" catback.

sounds alright, though i would personally go a little bigger otherwise it will bottleneck at the cat. the other bottle neck that cant really be adjusted will be the extracters (generally 2.5" for the xr6's). but as that is only a pipe its alright... with a cat i would go a touch bigger as the cat itself will provide some resistance.

I'll be going hybrid cat. 2.5" inlet off the extractors, into a 3" outlet to accomodate the dual 2.5"

If the budget allows it can't hurt...
