For them to supply and install? Is that with a high flow cat and extractors? Cause a grand for just a catback + install is very steep. A catback will cost you $350, plus another $150 for install at most...

That's extractors with a stainless high flow cat and sports mufflers

Rural areas are crazy with prices aye. Most of it comes because of the extra freight they get charged for the parts to get there.

It's stupid tho cause if you want decent price you got to drive down south and by the time you get down there and back what you have paid in fuel is what you would have paid extra here intown

Nice mate. Post up some photo's :)

Also, FordAute and I went to a test n tune tonight (heaps of fun). Did 6 runs each just to get some baseline stock 1/4 Miles.

His best was a 14.941 and mine was 15.041 (not bad out of a 100% stock XT 5sp auto lol)

Just resize them paint or something, down to 1024x768 etc. Should drop the size of the file to below the 500kb limit.

That's not really true. Prices in places like Mackay prices are high because of all the mining workers.
Huge pay means greedy landlords put the cost of rental property up, which pushes up the cost of property in general which pushes up the cost industrial rental and retail rental.
The only way for businesses to cover the costs is to put prices up. It's true across all major mining towns.

A small portion of it comes from freight, But I can freight a complete engine from Brisbane to Townsville for $150, or a complete LPG system including tank for $80.

Exhaust places ordering in bulk aren't really paying much per item in freight costs.

Also very true I'm going to ring some places in townsvile to see what they can offer they are closer then Brisbane but if Brisbane is the best offer I guess I'm going on a trip down south

Sometimes you might be better off spending that little bit extra to make that relationship with the local business. I go to a place that isn't the cheapest, but now I've been there a few times old mate helps me out. His going to help me fabricate my Frankenstein exhaust for next to nothing... Worth a thought...
