i wouldnt worry about XFt/BPT to do your tuning, give Monsta Torque (in malaga, across the road from Kosteki) a call... they should be settled into their new workshop by now i reckon :)

Yeah i've heard more bad things than good about them, so i just bypassed potential hassles and put in a more than capable fuel pump.

Never heard of those guys, what makes and models do they specialise in mainly? I need someone who has full Sniper software (or similar) where i don't need to purchase a flash box.

Anyway, got my rocker-cover back today, was a bit of a b**ch to coat aparantly, as when the coating was baked, the oil that had soaked into the cover kept surfacing, it was re-coated a couple of times, it's something that can't be helped i think. But it's looking good and 100 times better than the other mob did to my other cover, quite happy with the end results.

A mate of mine is coming around to weld up an exhaust for me weekend after next. Stay tuned...

An end result *sigh* wouldn't that be nice hahaha.

Anybody have any ideas on how i'm going to get an exhaust to seal up on this bastard of a thing?

That's the dump pipe? Looks like you will need a pipe that has been flared & has a slip over flange that pulls it up onto the end of the dump pipe to seal it. Exhaust shop should be able to do it.

It looks a bit like the ends of the manifolds on my 253 v8 in my Hz pano. The exhaust pipes are flared & have flanges that slip over the pipe, when you do the nuts up on the studs it pulls the pipe onto the manifold nice & tight.

Cheers

Arrrr, i thought as much. Thanks for clearing that up, can't say i've ever actually taken any notice of what the stock 'T' front pipe looks like and how it attaches to the dump :? \

I was thinking i may have to grind the round part [of where the pipe meets to the dump] flat and find a suitable flange and gasket.

Ahh well, looks like i'm doing away with the stock dump. Having Manta make a mild steel 4" dump for me, should be good to go for the weekend :D

Bit of an update...

I recently binned the stock cast dump and had Manta make up a 4" mild steel dump pipe for me. It's not too flash and am a little disappointed with the quality, but it does the job. I suppose that's what you get for being a cheapskate haha.

A mate of mine spent most of the weekend underneath my car cutting and welding up a 3" exhaust, we're about half way done, with the tailpipe ready to go (being off the shelf for E-Series V8), the muffler is an offset/centre straight through design, hopefully it'll cut back some of the exhaust 'bark'.

Looking good man, great to see the progress. That after market dump pipe should help with top end power too.

Cheers
