Quite likely i would guess, they're far from bulletproof. 35deg+ day, 2t of added weight. You'd spit the chewy too if you had to carry a car to Perth HAHA!

Did you tow in 3rd?.... If you must tow in a auto do it in 3rd to stop the 3->4th changing which makes it heat up like a s*** because it's allways chasing to change into 4th pro tip tranny will last for ages towing if you follow that little bit of advice :)

As a matter of fact i did! I did use overdrive downhill and on level ground, but any hint of an incline, smash it into third heehee. Commodore transmissions are serviced every 110,00km's, the ute has done 217,000km's, so it just missed out. It's a loan cr for tradies anyway, so guarantee it hasn't been treated kindly.

Good stuff mate.

Terry and jack both know their stuff well, should be a great outcome.

I was up at bpt again this arvo talking to terry and jack..... I remembered this, and jack gave me quick look..... Very, very nice champ its gonna be sweet when its all done, it just gives off a classy vibe..... Also noticed the battery side of the engine bay has enough room for a big, dirty snail

I noticed the work you did to get the head to fit in, eg the cutouts in the bonnet bracing... very well done 8-)

Hey thanks man, she's getting a bit rough around the edges though, window trims are faded and the panels are getting a bit ripply and i'm not going to go into the story of how that dent got onto the boot lid doh! :x

I'm just going to concentrate on performance at the moment, i have a set of DBA Gold rotors, new brake booster and master cylinder, rebuilt calipers, pads and braided lines to put in when it's all finished in Perth. Might be a while yet 'till i get the turbo :(
