So am i man, so am i! This is the longest time i havre been away from my car, i miss it so much.

I rang BPT on Tuesday afternoon to see how they were going, but they hadn't even touched the car. I realise they're flat out busy, but i thought they would at least have looked at it by now....:|

Yea they take on too much work, which doesn't make sense, surely they can take on enough work to keep busy and make profit without annoying customers because they take too long.

Amen to that. I won't take my car there unless that start work on it that day. I got my under drives and TB fitted the day I dropped it off.
Don't understand why it takes so long.

I just got off the phone to BPT, they have just been researching everything that needs to be done in order to get all the wiring sorted. It looks as if the fly-by-wire throttle will be a goer. They're going to get onto it next week sometime and they hope for it to be finished a short while after easter.

Fingers crossed.

Hey mate quick question whats this cost to date? If you want to tell us.

Reason I'm asking is cause I'm looking at a EF/L project car and possibly putting DOHC BA Engine in. :D

Yes, 'tis becoming quite a popular and do-able project now that more information and knowlege is out there. To date, what i can remember, i have spent, roughly:

Engine / Harness $1500
AU Bellhousing $150
Crossmemeber Modification $150
Transmission Oil Lines $400
Custom Power steering Hose $150
Radiator $250
Transmission Cooler $150
Alternator (New Gen) $270
Power Steering Pulley $70
Power Steering Pump $250
Stock BA ECU $110
Partial ECU Harness $70
BA Air Intake Tube $40
Serpentine Belt $30
Radiator Header Tank and Sensor $110
Heater / Radiator Hoses $70
Extractors (second hand) $300
Odd Bolts and Brackets (genuine) ~$120
Wire-in ECU, cat converter, oils / fluids, tune and time at BPT ~$2000

....That's all that i can think of for now. Most of that gear, like the radiator etc wasn't essential, i could have used the original items, but i wanted everything new and fresh for the new engine.

not bad thought it would be more, as you said most of that stuff you could have reused looks like quite a viable option now when i'm ready for it.
Mainly want a nice going street car maybe a drift session every now and then for fun.

Someone should write a tech doco up about this. with the pics would be great
