Hey man, glad this thread could help out. Yeah i know Matty, he's got a thread going in the 'Forced Induction' forum. The MoTec M800 is a bit out of my league, du to pricing, but we have managed to use the factory BA ECU to control the show, which in my opinion will do just as well if not better in some places than a stand alone aftermarket computer. I can still retain the electronic throttle too.

Still waiting to get my car back.....

I thought about installing the BA sequential shifter into my car, i wonder how easy that will be to implement?

Muzza here in Melb makes some type of electronic adaptor for the use of the ba shifter on the e series box?

http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... &start=200

Just read Muzza's post on this page.

Hope it helps some how.

Cheers Paul

Gearboxes are virtually the same.

I was just talking to Barry at BPT then, he's getting rid of all traces of the EL ECU and wiring loom  . They are going to leave a loom running into the cabin so i can just plug in the shifter asembly when i'm ready!

Ghia5l has done this to an EB, so might be a worth having a search of his threads, or sending him a PM.

Righto,

A bit of an update, apparantly the wiring work on the car has begun, when it's going to be finished, i'm not sure, i don't think i can hold out for much longer....

On the upside, i went to Perth today and picked up my BA sequential shifter. The shifter assembly, cable AND bracket fpr the cable to bolt on the gearbox....get this....$80! I rang another wrecker in Perth and they wanted near on $300! So thank's to Wolliston Wreckers for their assistance.

I'm using a mates computer at the moment as the telephone exchange in our area is on the blink and havn't had the net for about a week now :x . As soon as we come back online, i'll get some pictures up.

Any idea on how you are going to mount it in the EF console? I am part way down this track already.
