Well, going by what they quoted me when i was first looking around at getting this done, it shouldn't cost more than $1500. The car has been off the road since the third of february, that's the first day i started to pull the old engine out (check out page 2), but it only took me a few weeks to put all the new engine in (check page 7), the rest of the time (nearly 2 and a half months) has been taken up by BPT.

I am keen to see if the E series Auto will work using the BA ECU. I was unable to get the opposite combination to work.

Twason, from what i can remember of what Barry was telling me, all that was needed was a park/neutral switch from a BA and going be wiring diagrams and schematics, internally the gearboxes are identical, bar a couple of tiny tiny differences. I'll confirm what he has done when i get the car back.

Heres the evidence:

Heres the evidence:

I can tell you from first hand experience 5 of the 7 solenoids are wired different inside the box. I also suspect that some of the solenoids may be different or the valve body is different in the first gear selection.

Yep, getting there. The EL ECU and dash harness is being binned completely. The BA ECU will be controlling absolutely everything. I don't know how, but it's going to be happening....aparantly haha.

$1500 is possibly a way underquote considering their time. If so, they would probably have realised early in the piece. It seems they have relegated it to filling gaps in their business, and/or are doing things at an easy pace when information coalesces.
