Kinda looks like it may be a complex job, you can imagine the nightmare for the blokes that took it on, lol.

It's been 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days since i dropped the car off on their doorstep. I'm getting around in an R31 Skyline at the moment, it does the job haha.

Price is set at $1500 to wire up.

Lost all enthusiasm for it now haha. I have to sell it when the Fairmont is ready anyway, i have a buyer for it who will wait when it is finished but he wants it in N/A form, not turbo.

Probably the same story, being too busy. I'll call them tomorrow.

How can they be too busy if your car was in there three months ago. Surely if you have a full plate of work you don't take on any more jobs until you get some of the backlog cleared. It sounds like they're brushing you off to be honest, three months is ridiculous.

I think you may have mentioned the price earlier on in the thread, but i thought that was an estimate. Considering it's a fixed price, then they must be spewing, as i'm sure they will lose money on the job, unless the boss/owner is an elecrical/electronics genius who is doing it in his own time, which could account for the lack-lustre timeline.

Hope it doesnt end up being a christmas present
You're paying the bill, so i would be putting a bit of a bomb under the a***, unless you're not in that much of a hurry for it still??

Cheers

:) Daz 8-)

Yeah i'm missing the car badly, but at the same time i just don't want the job rushed and have it create more problems.

I just called BPT and they reckon the car should be running by the end of the week, they have a power supply and are testing out all the curcuitry to make sure things work. Fingers crossed.

fingers crossed for you matt that its all good on the end of the week.

sounds pretty weak as piss on their part though to be dragging this on as long as they have.

you could have learned electronics and how ecus work and wired it yourself quicker than this.

Do you mind me asking what airbox and plumbing you are running?

If it's a BA box, i notice the top bolts look fine, what about the bottom bolts?

That's okay man, from the throttle i'm using BA piping, it just so happens to be that the flexible pipe fits over the flange on the lid of the EL airbox. I have cut out the inside of the flange so more air can be drawn through, but it's not a smooth bellmouth anymore, it was just a quick attempt to get air flowing better untill i can get something better made up. I have just retained the full EL upper and lower airbox and V8 intake tube.

I'll have a dig around and see if i can get some pictures.

EDIT: Nup couldn't find any pictures unfortunately.
