Oh, not really. Everything left to do is very straight forward, i could have everything knocked off in a couple of hours.

The only thing holding me back are the fittings for the cooler, which is going to set me back $160 plus transmission fluid and filter which i imagine would be around the $100 mark. So it won't be happening this week due to no spare cash, but NEXT week will be a good certainty.....

Glad to read / see the tranny back in! It's now closer than ever before, soon you will be cruzin around in it dude!

Wish i could say the same about my torana! My pano on the other hand, is probably another 20hrs of work off being able to cruize around, and say 50-60 off being painted & looking hot.

Cheers

ToranaGuy

Haha, yeah i have gotten used to it now. The cars been eight months off the road now...far out  when you think about it like that...

ToranaGuy, sounds like you have a few projects on the go. Hats off to you though, i would never have the patience to restore a car. I only have just enough sanity to do an engine swap haha.

Anyway, i can cross a few things off the list. The headers are back on, cat pipe and exhaust are back in and i dropped the gearbox back down and installed the top three bellhousing bolts (thanks to a few of 300mm 1/2" extensions and a swivel coupling haha). Today i'm starting the template for the shifter tray, so we'll see how we go with that.

No worries dude, should be crankin' on Saturday! Wooo *giggles* :D

I've just been reading up on AFF (i know, i know :P ), a dude with a BA Falcon who has swapped an N/A DOHC engine with a turbo DOHC engine and ECU, and from what i can tell...it's a dead simple swap. Infact, so easy, it's quite rediculous.

Here's the link, a very interesting read: http://www.fordforums.com.au/newreply.p ... &p=2300234

/me druling at the thought!

I think you need to get it on the road, start to drive & enjoy it while hoarding bits for " stage 2 " conversion. ROFL. That's basically my plan with my torana, getting it on the road with a mild turbo 6 while i can drive & enjoy it, and build up a stove hot turbo6 to drop in later.

Cheers

ToranaGuy

Ditto with my EL and supercharger..

the current motor is ok for 10ish psi... but if I want to bump it abit.. I will build an AU based motor and do it all properly.

BLOODY HELL!!!!

My car was supposed to be going by now, but aparantly the place that was supposed to be doing the fittings for my oil cooler didn't have anyone there that could do it and to "come back monday or tuesday".

RAAAAAARGH!!!! One setback after the other! I know it's only another three days away, but jeez!
