The car is gettin there too, although i've just been tinkering around, doing small things, not much has been done. Should be picking up my new Turbosmart E-boost soon, getting a few new braided lines etc.

Hey Fordman, if you are using aftermarket boost control do you still need to change to the turbo ECU to tune the boosted motor?

Geez thats looking nice so jealous.
You will have to start producing a wiring kit for all of us
Now for a name change to Fordman243 just doesn't have the same ring does it.

Cheers all the best

As far as i know, no. I should be able to get most of the XR6T map loaded with a few tweaks and tunes. I've been in contact with a couple of people who've done the 'T' conversion, and they've both been set up using a stand-alone boost controller separate to the ECM and have been working perfectly.

Thanks steve, gald you like it. But the novelty really has worn off now lol. I'd love to share all the details on the wiring, but i really have no clue as to what was done, i never recieved a schematic when the engine was wired :(

Anyway, a quick update. Not much happening, i installed the fuel pump and am about to make up the wiring and relay for it. I'm also looking for ways to run the battery starter cable to the boot. I don't really want to run it underneath the car, i'd like to have it pass through inside the cabin, but am finding it hard to find a spot to run the cables through the firewall.

I'm also trying to find a pair of decent oil coolers, one for the power steering and one for the transmission. I found these on fleabay ( {DESCRIPTION} ) and accedentally bought them without checking, but aparantly they don't come with AN6 fittings only AN10 which are waaaaay too big, i havn't paid for them yet, so i'm hoping the seller will cancel the sale for me.

Sooo, with my bonus cheque from work, i'll be able to use that to get my flash tuner and get some intercooler and exhaust made up woooo.

hey fordman have been silently watching your thread for a while now and love the build, and with regards to your battery cables have you thought of running them through the rails under the car? just a thought.

Thanks for the idea man, i spent a few hours trying to make that work, but theres no way of being able to get the cables into the boot without having to hack a big hole in the rail, notsomething i want to do. So now, i'm just trying to find a way to go through the firewall.

On another note, i'm in the final phase of purchasing some 20" rims, wooooo. Stay tuned.
