You dont want the AU traction control

its a very primitive & s**t system....... mine cuts in harshly and all power is killed for a second, a little dangerous if your trying to quickly duck into traffic

I can't even turn it off on the missus AU fairmont and you are completely correct

yep same here, the light goes off in the dash, but it still feels like its on 100% of the time

any wheelspin becomes a violent jolt then loss of power....... f**k s**t

the traction control in my bf is the same.... dangerous. u need to turn it off to gap traffic n drive in the rain. i've had it kick in a few times droppin back gears to overtake at 80-100 km/h, not as violent but still a pain.
also when you know you've given it that bit too much it's deadly aswell because its slow enough to let the back kick out then when it's out there you got nothing to do anything about it. traction control should be always off, on when you need it i think, anyone know how to do that ?

i'm a bit oldskool though i like a bit of inside brake lock, wheel spin n no 'esp/esc/learn how to drive a car control'

traction control, abs & stability control are all a bit like the morning after pill, a convenient repreve from not doing things properly in the first place.

nope, only NL FBTs, AU1 and 2 TE/TS50s... all limited number cars...

you can just get a BA/BF Fairlane Ghia one. they have a G instead of a T, are bit bigger and alot cheaper (under $15)

fitted the bushes Thursday night and haven't heard the knocking noise since, so its looking good...

Just brought a cruise control conversion (without the cable and box) for $46, and hopefully getting the cable/box from bartsau on AFF for $20 so its looking pretty cheap

Its getting a full detail at Finishing Touch Car Care Moe before the Geelong AFD, will hopefully come up pretty nice

Picked up a few interior bits yesterday, spent most of today fitting it.
Its all looks pretty much new and only pay $415 for it all :D

- AU2 Black Leather/cloth seats (drivers seats a 6way electric seat)
- 4 leather/woodgrain door trims (front trims have built in courtesy lights)
- Complete centre console with leather console lid and rear footwell light
- 4 Chrome door handles
- AU2 Fairmont Ghia Black Carpet

The carpets a lot darker and thicker than the original stuff, i'm going to resell the chrome door handles as iv already got a set, ill also sell my old leather seats (the new stuffs a lot better condition) and centre console,so i should hopefully make all my money back.

I re ran my amp wiring while i had the carpet out, i'm also going to fit my alpine R-Type splits in the back door trims (iv now got a spare set and the new ones i got had holes cut in them for window winders)

I'v only got photos of the carpet for now, ran out of daylight. ill try get some more interior ones tomorrow

More photos from the ebay add here...
