Names luke gatto and I am from Wodonga On the Border of victoria and nsw.

I’ve been a member on here for about two years lost my other account lol

I recevied my car a when i was 15 years old and started doing some dumb things to it lol eventually got over it and was driving comodores around the car was left in the backyard until a few months back
It was a stock standard 1996 EL Falcon futura with 333000 ks D:

Since I have had the car I have done the simple things like:
-A head unit
-Rear Super Lows( about a month ago)
-front fusion power plant splits
-rear pioneer 6inchs
-Have had a range of different wheels on her including stockys, speedy 14/265 wide 5 spoke drag wheels
-have some xr8 ba wheels that i can put on
-2.5 inch redback custom exhaust with dual dump tips( last week)
-frosted taillights

about a month ago my car broke down one night on the main street in wodonga it was just the coil pack had given way, returned the next day to get her running and a series of events had happened.... my car had been attacked with some gooey crap that at away at my paint job and also was collected in the front right by a bus....... thankfully they left a note and paid for the damages
hear are some pics

the damage was fixed by zanes pannels in wodonga but my word they did a s**t job...... they quoted me on a new front bar and painted over the old one didnt even sand it back painted the quater pannel but they painted it the wrong colour......going to have to go back down there in the next few days because its ridicules.

Also have now put a deposit on the cleanest el i have ever laid eyes on
its just a whit 96 gli but its a perler
only one 190,000 thousand ks
i plan to swap parts from my el over to the new car
should have it next week

Anyway so that’s my story so far but I’ll take heaps of photos whenever I do something new and keep it updated.

Cheers everyone!

Those 19s will look super mint on the white el!
Superlows all round and 15% tint and that el will be awesome. Make sure you look after the motor in the white el. With those little ks you could easily make it last for a lot longer.
Good work!
Pity about a55holes ruining other peoples sh*t. No respect for property. I swear it is the younger kids of today. Instead of being 19-20 year old d***head around, theyre starting earlier. Probably some 14-15yr olds with nothing better to do. Its sad really.
Keep on keeping on with this thing!

On the white el, spray the side strips and the mirrors white and leave it sleep-spec.
I know what you mean about excitement. I picked up a nice cheap NF Fairlane v8 on gas about a month ago and i cant f**k drive it yet because im on my p's! Got to wait another month til i can drive it. So painful waiting for it.
Got any bigger plans for the white el? Engine mods? Boosted? Definately boost...

nice man
yea i was thinking that how difficult is spraying the strips going to be?
haha f**k yea, how much did you pick it up for?
pff dont let ya ps stop ya ;)
ive got a good year and half left on mine.
yea boosting wise i was leaning more towards a supercharger set up:D some pretty need figures going around at the moment looks a lot cleaner then a turbo set up in my view.

Yeah pretty sweet car. Got it for a steal
$2500 with 6 months rego, 202,000 on it. Gas is only 2 yrs old.
I would drive it everywhere but the fact im less than a month away i know i'll get done the one time i drive it!
In regards to those strips, its probably easier to just tape up around them, sand them back with 800 grit and throw a couple of coats of plastic primer on them before spraying them white. Taking them off is a pain in the a**. Make sure you spend the time clear coating them as well, to make them last.

Supercharger vs turbo. The turbo side of things will ALWAYS have more power than the supercharger, just depends how much you want to spend. Have you seen the Eaton chargers Snort are doing? They pretty much just replace the standard intake manifold with a huge f**k off twin screw charger. With water/meth injection on one of these you could easily see 300rwkw+. Only downside is your cooling options as you cant run an intercooler with these setups. The other option is a centrifugal supercharger, however, these dont normally yield power results near the twin screw option. They are cheaper though and you do have the option of running an intercooler (front mount or water to air). I havent seen many of these around pulling big numbers (but then again thats not what a supercharger is designed for). Just think about how you want your power delivered. Turbo is more exponential (as in you get an increasing slight power curve up until you hit full boost and then it rockets off) while supercharger is more linear (the power curve tends to increase proportionally to the revs). Hope that helps you choose haha.
Im looking down the turbo path as i love that feeling that your going to be ripped through the front seat when it comes on boost.
Also, check out boostedfalcon for some different turbo/supercharger builds. Very interesting reading.

I put a reasonable list together which should be good for around 350-450rwkw with reliability in mind and it came to around $10g just turbo parts. Then theres the engine side, which will need to be rebuilt if youre looking at ~300rwkw+ consistently.
Here is my list with rough quotes on what i could find net prices of:
(some parts missing)
Billet turbos SB70GT-Q ball bearing turbo - $???? (assuming around the $2g mark)
Custom long runner manifold - $500 on ebay
Plazmaman Plenum - $1445 (depends on finish)
Plazmaman 680x340 swept back front mount - $1240
OR
Plazmaman water to air cooler - $1255 (requires more parts to fit)
2 x Bosch 044 external pumps - $240ea
2L surge tank + fittings - $250
Then theres the extras:
Braided fuel lines - $???
Braided oil lines - $???
Oil fittings + oil surge tank - $200-300
50mm Wastegate - $500-800
BOV + intake plumbing - $500+
Then theres the exhaust side:
I was thinking twin 2.5" to keep muffler prices down. Will still have to be custom made so - $1500+
Then theres the engine side too:
Full Spool engine rebuild kit - $2390
Balanced, hardened crank - $200
Cam - $400
Headwork - $1500 (including valve work and valve springs etc)
Then youve got to find someone to do all the engine assembly work (if you dont do it yourself) - $2000-3000 depending on time
Then theres all the miscellaneous s**t:
ECU
Tuning
Dyno time
Replacing broken parts (if something does let go)
Battery relocation
Wiring
Tools
Filters
Hoses
Fittings
Pipe
Welds
It goes on and on and its good to know what sort of money youre looking at before you dive into the deep end.
The supercharger path ends up a fair bit cheaper, but youre not chasing these sorts of numbers.
The eaton charger route would pull up under 10k easy with tune done and the water/meth injection also. Looking at numbers around the 300rwkw with this money. Remember, youre still going to need to rebuild the motor to cope if youre looking at these numbers...
BIG MONEY
Check out Fritzz build thread on boostedfalcon to see what he did to get his incredible result. i think its something like 540rwkw running the billet turbos sb70gtq.

Oh and then theres the drivetrain and various other brake and suspension upgrade requirements when youre running that much power.
