be interesting to hear what they say.....youll be out of pocket close to a grand on a normal mixer system and closer to 3 grand if u want injection....

Yeah the injection is the way to go if you can pay the extra money. With the injection you get close to the same power and liters per hundred as petrol, so you will get more out of your gas than old skool style systems and save even more money on running your car.

Not to mention the injection system has its own ecu separate from the factory ecu just for running the injectors. This means it can be tuned on a dyno quite easily.

Well i think you are referring to cars with sequential injection and AU's had sequential injection. So this would be from AU onwards. But seriously The injection can be setup on EF EL as far as I have been told by a gas installer.

well...car is not running. it decided yesterday when i overtook a car to shoot a conrod bracket out the sump..only at 4000rpm.
anyway.
im thinking au xr6 motor is going in. i heard its just a straight swap.

havnt checked out the hole yet. but i have the bracket that came out and theres oil all over the emergeny lane on the ring road and on the tow truck..and out the front of my house.

Have a look at XR-Lanes and Troymans builds. Both have done it, both have documented it very well.

Chopping the EF / EL K-Frame is easy if you have a welder, and (if not) I have heard trimming the front oil cooling fins off the AU alloy sump isn't going to destroy anything.

Shame about the engine. How many K's had it achieved prior?
