SO!
My Clutch fork has finally bent. rear main seal started paliki leaky, and I cracked 300,000, So I figure why the hell not, and Im going to be putting in a EF block and head while Im at it. Many photos to be added, and a few questions, so if you have done this conversion or know a bit, keep an eye out all day, Ill be updating and adding photos all day. first set... this is the clutch fork, next to a properly one. Attachment: bent fork_opt.jpg This is what came out... Attachment: old mary_opt.jpg of here.. Attachment: bay_opt.jpg and this is going to replace it.. Attachment: engine_opt.jpg I will be bolting on the EA log manifold until I gather the final parts for a BBM conversion.. I also have all the accessories off the EF so I will be leaving that as is.. Any tips or little hints anyone out there knows of that may come in handy during my work would be much appreciated.. first question, can anyone explain or provide a photo of where this is supposed to go to.. it is at the back of the head above number 6 exhaust outlet.. i am assuming it is some sort of extra cooling.. where dose it go to? Attachment: what is this_opt.jpg as I said, Ill be doing this all day today and tomorrow, so keep an eye out and all help is appreciated You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Do the seals if you don't want to pull it all back out later. I'd do the sump gasket too.
Somebody has added that water line to the head. Its a method of trying to keep the back of the head cool and make the head gasket/head last better. Whether it works I have no idea, I've seen a few done though. If you want to use the log manifold and ef accessories/serpentine belt you need an XH belt tensioner afaik. |

So it is a cooling line, I figured it would be for better head cooling design.
any ideas where it goes to though? Sump gasket is a good idea, thanks for that.. and YES! that is exactly the tips I need to know... XH tensioner...s**t, now off to find an XH... anyone got a photo showing the differences?

So, everything is cleaned off and reassembly has started..
I have been working on the aircon pump clearance to the log manifold. This helped quite a bit.. post1186456.html?hilit=Aircon%20bracket#p1186456 I will be getting the bracket setup to be able to clear underneath, an I reckon a customized intake should clear the pulley. Has anyone done this already, and photos or ideas on results? The plug on the EF alternator has a yellow(ish) and a grey/red wire. The car plug is a brown/red and a white/black pair. Any ideas on the direction they go? Also the yellow one on the EF plug is slightly thicker. Can anyone provide some photos of the EF engine belt bracket setup for the power steering, alternator and tensioner? Some ones to show bolts if possible, I have the right number, jus unsure of the holes lol. Also those support rods are a little confusing! With the alternator bracket (the alloy curved one that bolts to the block) Is there a 17mm bolt with a stud in the rear mounting hole? With the power steering, I have 6 13mm bolts and 1 long 10mm, I know the long 10mm goes through the timing cover, but with te 13mms I have, 2 short ones for the bracket to pump itself. Then 3 longer ones (about 5-7mm) that fit through the 2 other holes in the front of the head and behind through the steel bracket/alloy bracket and into the head, but the final bolt I have is another 5-7mm longer again and hits the end in the bottom bolt hole into the side of the block (the lower hole on the steel bracket..it goes to locked but the steel bracket is still a little loose. It also hits bottom on all the other holes into the head itself. Any ideas or anyone with an ef/l motor with te belt setup still on wanna add some pics, all help will add up.
