Not especially, I'd suggest plugging it in, then doing a reset on the ECU. And let it relearn the base settings.

My headers glowed when I was running my cam in, was a bit worried at the time but suspected it was because of fast idle (2-2500rpm's) and no airflow to engine, as well as that is was dark, so I suppose you wouldn't normally notice it in daylight. I can relate to you saying your car being heaps louder, I couldn't believe how much my changed it's amazing how a camshaft can change the whole sound of you engine.

Well i've had the ute running today abit today, reset computer etc. Was idling by itself fine, still has no power on the throttle in gear though. Really needs the TwEECer and everything checked out, will go and see Terry on Tuesday and see when i can book it in.
Is definately running rich at idle, didnt notice any glowing exhaust today either.
Is definately quite suprising how much louder it is now, is this because of the extra lift of the exhaust valve and longer open duration? im guessing the highing flowing heads affect this aswell?
Also fitted the walbro pump today, all went smoothly and worked fine, didnt notice a difference though, with starting time or anything.

Alright guys, she's all booked in on the 21st of this month for the TwEECer and tune, spewing couldnt get it in earlier but better late than never and bout 2 weeks isnt bad.

Between now and then i need to get a decent exhaust put on it. Difficult thing is i gotta tilt-tray it to the exhaust shop and tilt tray it back which makes it a bit of a pain in the a***.
Thinkin to either just throw a press bent 3" on it for $280 just for now to get me outta the s**t or to go all out now and get the twin stainless system.
Might go price a decent system up tomorrow. Something along the lines off cats back, twin 2 1/4" through x-pipe, into magnaflow mufflers then straight through twin pipes to rear bar all in stainless.
Sounds good to me, will throw up the prices tomorrow if anyones interested.

If you can hold off a week, you can check out the twin 2.5" I'm getting onto the T series....

Mandrel bent with a balance pipe, twin Hooker Aerochambers and twin 4" diameter Magnaflow resonators.

That's the diameter of the bodies, not the actual pipe running through them. ;)

It could be replicated in 2.25" without any problems.

No its getting done at 'Muffler Magic' in O'Conner, I know the main fabricator guy there and he's pretty good at what he does.

I supply the mufflers and he does the system, outstanding pricing too!

Hookers are very good, and pretty cheap, looking at about $120 per item.

Hookers sound mighty tempting mate, do they come in 2.25"?

I'm assuming the 2.5" will sacrifice a bit of low down torque compared to the 2.25"?

I'm getting it done in steel, I don't see the point in spending the extra $$$ for stainless... Its not a show car and I've never had an exhaust rust out on me.

Definately can get it in 2.25", both Magnaflows and Hookers. I'm using offset in centre outs for the mains, and the resi's are straight throughs.

It most likely will lose some bottom end response, but eventually down the track it will be copping an ali headed 347, so I'd rather just do it once.

Looks like you might be ordering in me some Hooker mufflers in 2.25" .

Whats those magnaflow resonators worth, might not bother with them for now but a price might pursuade me, lol.

Also are the hookers mild or stainless?
All this talking about hookers being good and cheap etc, people might be thinkin we are a bunch of sexually deprived old men lol.

and the plans for ally headed 347 on the t-series sound awesome, im jealous  lol.

Magnaflow resonators are approx $160 ea... More than the mufflers but they're stainless.

The Aerochambers are 'aluminized' steel, and painted flat black. Big thing about them is they have no packing to break down over time. Provided you don't allow condensation to build up in them, they should last forever without ever changing note.

Heh as for the dirty old man reference... That sums me up well :D

The T-series is a long term thing, I've got an XD to finish first, and a new house planned with the missus.

Im looking into some 2 new mufflers for my car to quiten it down abit.

I was thinking 2 high flow cats 2 hookers and possibly 1 resinator all running through 3 inch pipes to the rear or possibly just over diff like my current setup.

And its for a stroker 347, what you think?

Twin 3" is too big for a 347... Unless you are making an honest 500-550hp.

Twin 2.5" would be more than adequate, as far as mufflers go I'd look at Hookers or Magnaflow. Lukey Ultraflo race mufflers also sound good.
