I bought an EB this week that i can drive around in so the EL can get worked on finally (i need a car as im driving 200kms to work at the moment a few times a week). So, hopefully it will acctually get underway finally. Ive got most of the stuff still, just need to get the roller rockers and some gaskets and I think im set. Yeah im so wrapped at your time. It will get lower if you can fix your traction issues. Id definately at least give some 15" tyres a go mate. I saw pics of it at the track on that site thats posted above too. Looks hot |

.5 seconds isn't that much people, 6mph is a fair bit faster but whats power when you can't harness it??????
First run was against a 318 valiant coupe that ran 13.5. He crept away from me for 350m but far from a head kicking. XH5LWEPN should run a flat 13 with that MPH and a 2 second 60ft. Work on those starts dude. A Street weapon is something that does over 170 kmh over 400m. Anything that does 150-165kmh makes a great cruiser. |

Well what a waste of time that was, managed one run after and hour of waiting then got rained out completely. Although cheers to the organisers for making next week free for all entrants and spectators from tonight.
Only managed 14.2@102mph though, screwed the launch big time!! Oh well next week it is.

It's not good of them....it should be just a matter of course. Why should you pay if you didn't race? |

Oh well another night out at the drags gone. Managed 6 runs for the night and was running consistent 13.8-13.9's all night. Still cant get that 60ft under 2.3secs, will probly go again next week in same street trim then start making some changes.
Also got a 70mm Ford Racing T/B and matching EGR spacer on its way, so will fit that up then back on the dyno for abit more tuning. Oh, and i got an AEM wideband UEGO (AFR guage) sensor kit coming aswell, just to keep an eye on state of tune, definately handy to have.

Well guys bit of an update here. Had the ute go to Dom @ Prestige this morning for him investigate some exhaust leaks which were annoying the s**t outta me. Had put my hand under the flange plates at the cats and found the leak to be flowing pretty heavily out of them. So the plan was for Dom to check it out, confirm that that was the fault, replace the flange gaskets, check the rest of the system over and that would be it, all free of charge of course.
Well got a call from him today to say that the passenger side cat actually had a large split in it before the flange plate. It could have been welded up but i thought Ahh f**k it just throw a new pair on. So we went with the nice polished cylindrical "metalcat" s/less ones. Only gave it a short drive home but did notice it was a little bit better on the throttle, but hard to tell untill i give a good run. So yeah, the wallet is a lot lighter(those cats aint cheap), the annoying exhaust leak tick has gone and i'm happy.

I share your pain with annoying exhaust leask ticks. It must be a big relief to get rid of it. Hopefully mine will be rectified when new heads go on.

Well all the stuff turned up on Friday arvo. Thought i'd throw up a little pic of the bits before they go on the car.
I will wait till mid-week before i pull the old t/b off. Then i will postion the new EGR and t/b and work out where im gonna have to modify them to fit. Main interest being the throttle cable bracket mount, will most probably cut off the boss on the EGR and have it welded around the back to suit. Then just move the ball to the other side of the butterfly lever. As far as the AEM goes, i'll be getting stuck into it straight away. Will send it off to Dom @ Prestige Exhausts to have the bung welded on and sensor mounted. Then i'll run all the wiring and fit the guage myself, just gotta work out where im gonna fit the bloody thing. As far as the quality goes it is an excellent piece of gear, highly reccomend it to anyone running a modified EFI car for abit of added insurance.
