On radials you'd get pretty close to the 12s I reckon, but only time will tell I guess.

I got mine serviced the other day and I don't know what he's done, but it feels like it's running better than ever, so I'm going to take it down this Wednesday to see whether it's just all in my head or not.

How long til you drop the new box in?

Mmmm...those KAAZ diff centres sound pretty good. I would expect they would be more friendly than the $500 lock-rite copies that 4wd place sells.

Would be nice to not have to worry about breaking T5's as well.

Good luck with it, keen to hear how it turns out.

Good to hear yours is coming together Scaffy. Get it down that strip asap so you can come home with a 13sec timeslip

I hope to have the box in within the next two months, but i'll just have to see how i go, cant promise anything.

What ya paying for the box, I need an upgrade real soon, didnt want to go manual, but also dont want to go 3 speed auto. I have an AOD 4 speed that has been built, but it isnt cheap

Complete kit is around $5500.

I mainly wanted to stay manual coz the car came out as a manual and its more of a street car than a strip car. If i bought an auto one i'd be going for a C4 3spd with a big stall. Personally i think manuals alot more fun to drive, and hopefully the TKO is as pleasurable as the T5.

The KAAZ centres are around the 1200 mark retail.
I'm thinking about a 31 spline one, cone type LS centres suck balls.
Where abouts are you sourcing the TKO from?
Are you gonig to get a full kit from Mal Wood or buy the box seperate and peice it together yourself?

Yep, thats exactly what i think, i do more kays at 100-110 so a 3 speed would be a pain, especially with the current setup and 3.9 gears.
Good luck and keep us posted
Brett

Yeah mate, that price was for a full kit from Malwood. Do you have any suggestions for sourcing it elsewhere? I just dont wanna mess around mis-matching parts when i can buy the full kit from Mal that will bolt straight up.
$1200 sounds good for the KAAZ, add to that labour and new 3.9 gears, so hopefully get it done for $2000.

I got no suggestions, thats why I asked LOL, I was hoping you might have a cheaper place/idea to source bits and piece from :D
Yeah when you think about what a rebuilt cone type centre costs, and how f**k gay they are, 1200 is pretty good for the KAAZ.
There was a couple floating on ebay recently, dunno if they are still there.

Seriously though the exchange rate atm is brilliant try summit or 50resto, or mustangs unlimited. youve done a nice job with the ute.
