Well After nearly 2 weeks of false starts The Beasty arrived today. 1989 EA S-Pack Manual. She's gonna need a bit of work over time to get it to the point i'm happy with, but from the short test down my street it drives Well, and as i found out by accident, has a LSD In it. (Left a nice set of snake trails up the road! LOL) so far my list of what is needed is this.
Various little bits of interior trim. either put back on, or replaced Airbox (Currently had a pod filter on it) tyres. a bit of body work. (Has a few dings and scrapes, and bonnet has lotsa dints) Plan is to clean it up, use it as a street/daily driver, with the long term goal of either dropping a supercharged AU 6 into it, or just suercharging the motor in it. . Wish me luck! |

And the final one! Am thinking about better software, just to get a better range of colours to muck around with.

the black on the bottom looks terrible with the black door handles and without tint on the windows, just my opinion anyway

Hey Benj did EF/L handles into his old Sedan didn't he? Hmmmm............, and yeah, i'm gonna get it tinted for sure! Trust me living out this way, you're mad if ya don't have tinted windows. |

Well after an exploratory trip to the wreckers this morning, I get home, and find that a couple pieces of trim that I was looking for had mysteriously fallen into my pocket
So I got to fit them, and as I try to fit the first bit (The little blank switch cover/block just to the L/H side of the steering wheel), it fits, but won't screw in. What's wrong me thinks, so I remove it. Oohhh, so that's why it won't screw in, the little clippy bit for the screw to attach to isn't there. No wonder old mate hadn't put it back in! LOL On the other hand, the Gear lever surround that I was given by a friend to replace what can only be described as conveyor belt fitted up nicely, even if it is slightly sun damaged and therefore slightly warped. Also found out at the time that the gearknob is actually steel, and welded to the gear lever! Will get a pic of it later and upload it. |
