Nothing wrong with Garth Brooks, just coz I'm country doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good sound system lol, plus 'swing' by trace Adkins sounds intense with it :p also the DVD player will go through the system to make DVDs sound good too :) here's hoping screen gets here this week so I can finish the roof console off. Cheers for thE feedback

Hi guys, little bit of an update,
Found out my tyres are chopping out like s**t on the insides so I booked it in for two new tyres and a wheel alignment.

When i got back to pick it up they told me they couldnt do the wheel alignment because every bush in the front end was flogged out including drag link, sway bar, pitman arm, idler arm, tie rod ends etc etc; also that my shockies were leaking and sagging and also that the ball joints both upper and lower were f**k :/

So... This weekend I did the lot as well as changing battery terminals lol.
Ball joints ive always been scared of because everyone says you need a special fork tool and then you need to press them back together blah blah blah. s**t. Ball joints were a piece of piss. Just hammer the top of the thread to get them out because it doesnt matter if you mess up the thread, your putting a new one in. No fork needed! I have one anyway and all it did when i tried it is split the boot and piss greace everywhere, pain in the a**.

Secondly, shockies. Easy as hell to change, no spring compressors necessary!
Step one: jack up wish bone
Step two: undo two nuts underneath shock
Step three: Undo the three bolts ontop of shockie tower (under bonnet)
step four: Pull through engine bay
Step five: do the opposite to install.

Cant get easier then that.

Break pads were also piss easy. You dont need seperators but it makes it heaps easier. Ill get some more photos soon.

By the way the DVD screen came for the roof console so will work on that this week and hopefully have it in by this weekend :) Cheers

Your almost right there mate, As the law stands today, (could change tomorrow :s) this is what i know:
Bar must have a compliance plate on it
Bar must lean back 18 degrees
Top bar must all be the same level
Must have rounded edges

But at the end of the day it is entirely up to the cops descression as to wether or not he things it is too aggressive or not.

Stupid law

On a side not we are not allowed 5 posters but we are allowed to have a whip aerial on both sides of the bar unlike most other states

I've had a few run ins with the cops about bull bars here in WA, 5 posters are legal they just cant have 'hard' edges which is when the edge is straight up and down, it must have the curved pipe on the ends. They also dont like them leaning forwards which is a load of crap because the whole idea of a bull bar is to stop wildlife going over the bonnet and into the widow.
Depends on how much of an a** the cop wants to be at the time, a mate of mine had the same bar that is now on yours now and she got stickered because it had hard edges. It was a city cop that booked her and shes never had trouble with they counrty cops where she lives.

On a side note, good looking van you got there. Not sure if you've thought about it but dual batteries might be a good idea. i had them in my ute and ran all the accesories (spotties, amps, clearance lights etc) off the second battery. I also hooked the deck to a switch which would turn it and the amps on without the key needing to be in so music could be played and no-one will take off with ya car, handy for musters and bns and such.

Keep up the good work, i'll be interested to see how it turns out

Cheers rumrigger! I actually find it the opposite though, the country coppers in geraldton will pin me a million times before a perth cop will. Maybe its just bad luck I dont know. And yes your right my bullbar is illegal because of the hard edges. Your also right about 5 posters except they count them as being too aggressive which automatically makes them illegal.

As for the dual batteries ive actually got a triple battery set up lol.. I have two in the rear of the van and one under the bonnet. Works very well.

Ill get some more photos up soon
