Hi guys, i've just bought a 92NC V8 dual fuel for a few hundred, $450 including tow truck fee from minto to rosemeadow, plain white but not a dent or spot of rust, and the motor is in perfect condition. so i'm going to pull the motor, gearbox and wire loom out and convert my 94NC 6 cylinder to V8. i hope to start pulling the V8 out thursday. i'll post pics very soon. i'll also then be putting the 6 cylinder motor etc back into the white NC for resale
could anyone tell me tho if i have to swap the ABS over aswell? or are they the same system in both 6 and v8 cars? another question : is it possible to drop the V8 motor and gearbox downwards with the K bar? or do i have to remove the motor and box and then remove the K bar? i was thinking of unbolting the K bar and other stuff then lifting the car body upwards leaving the motor, gearbox, K bar all in one piece sitting on the ground. any other tips in changing the motors around would be greatly appreciated. As far as I know they are the same.
Where did you get one like that for the price! Bastard........LOL You should just have to change the K frame over and you will be set.
