ok i have been slack lately and with the moving houses not much has happened.
well 2 weeks ago i scored 4 new tyres off a mates dad for 120 bucks with TS magna rims (same fitment as AU) but they wouldnt fit over my front hubs so i was running them on the rear (due to crack in the sidewall on my old tyres) and 14" hotwires on the front. due to the offset it looked like a burnout car lol. but its all sorted now and i have the tyres back on my alloys. but in this i also got some bad news. for the 2 or 3 weeks my mates dad had the tyres on the car they got a flat spot. not bad but noticable, and also found out one of my rims are warped. i ripped out my interior last night, threw in the EL console and replaced the carpet only to find out that the EL wagons actually use a different floor pan to the fairlanes (fairlane seats sit right back) so i ended up hacking up my NC carpet aswell as the EL carpet to create a skirt to sit over the plastic under piece of the console and blends in nicely till i can find a NF or NL fairlane carpet. still some mods to do so that it looks more inplace but that still to come. for now here are the pics (oh power window switches arrive tomorrow) 
i then removed the dash panels and painted them saturn black which looks 11th million times better. 
and them some glammour shots
