Hey again old matey. See - that's the good thing with the EF coil pack - doesn't matter what rotation it's on... :)

In fact, why they bother with a "cam angle sensor" at all is a bit dubious. Guess it may be used to get the injectors firing on the correct stroke when turning it on in the morning, but other than that? SFA I'd guess.

If you had to swap the leads on your dizzy - wouldn't the injectors be firing at the wrong time? You may have to swap the leads on the injectors too mate!

Geez mate....you have had a bad run of late! Hopefully that will be the end of your unlucky streak. Looking forward to seeing this lane boosted

na the injectors fire correctly, it was the dizzy that was installed 180 out, so therefore swapping the lead order on the cap to the opposite side would therefore fix this situation

it wont matter to the injectors what stroke its on PROVIDING the spark is delivered on the same stroke as the fuel, what we had happening was it filled up with fuel and air, then exhaust opened then closed THEN spark arrived... so it only ignited the small amount of fuel that was left in there.

swapping leads then made it back in sync

hope that makes sense to you fiend 8-)

NCIILANE - yeah im hoping all is done and dusted... but now i have the issue of getting another RWC.. but i know a guy who knows a guy kinda thing, i know its safe but there might be a few issues such as exhaust gasket (after cat) leaking, possible too low due to sagging exhaust, and maybe some bushes/front shocks which i cant afford to fix at the moment.

i have just had an offer of a T04 (i think he said E) for 250 but needs a seal kit. but seems like a good deal.

well where do i start... things are finally looking up.. well sort of.

the lanes getting rego within the next 2 weeks, just awaiting the return of our bond.

the wheels i bought are no longer going to the fairlane project, i have thrown them onto our trailor as the tyres on it were bald... looks good i rekon.
Image

the bad news, the motor i bought from EL_Venoms uncle has a MAJOR vibration that im far from happy about, the flex plate was bent on the motor so i assume that the car was in a major rear ender which has resulted in damage. tho as im a broke a** nigga i cant afford to replace the motor again, so it will get rego as is.

i think many of you heard about blackers10 got t-boned in his AU Fairlane
Image
and he is selling his AU VCT motor for 350 at the moment, but if it doesnt sell and drops in price a lil more im going to snap it up and throw it in.

the 15's are now gone from the lane and it now rolls on a set of ROH 12-slotters complete with centercaps. makes it look alot lower and longer.

future plans are more painting in the engine bay, painting the grey bumper bits black, and re-doing the chrome. oh and some dark dark tint.

Noice! I love it Huggie. I'm a big fan of the old school 12 slotters, having owned a couple of falcon's with the same boots. It actually does look quite good :D Very old school

you know what.. i thought the same thing lol

no clearance issues, they fir perfect on pre-EF models. they dont fit the rear of the EF/EL due to the brake calipers have a little... i guess you could call it a strip, that rises out of the caliper for some reason which hit the inside of the rim. (had that issue putting 14" hotwires on an EL wagon i had)

long time since an update...

well i have decided on supercharging, going to wait till geoff at snort releases the intercooled M112 setup as im chasing as close to or just over 300rwkw which can only be achieved with the intercooled kit which is a while off production. so for now she sits unrego'd in my parents back yard...

work will slowly progress on it while i save and wait for the kit. looking about 6 months hopefully depending on release date of the kit. if i get too impatient ill buy the un intercooled kit and just not have as much power. but im willing to wait.

i picked up a EF motor and freshly serviced BTR for free from col (AU2SW) as he converted to V8, so im going to strip the motor and throw new bearings, rings and a few top end goodies in it, and maybe some pistons if they come up cheap.

im going pacemaker comp series extractors cut back to 3" with a high flow cat and baffleless mufflers all on a 3" exhaust.

ill be using the turbo grind cam but im undecided on brand at the moment (still seeing who gives better power)

most of the fuel system will be coming from Malaysia as its less then half the cost of buying it here or in the US.

so for now this is how she will look. in the coming weeks she will get brand new top and bottom ball joints, then ill move on to new shocks, then rebuilding the motor.

and for those interested.. this is the prototype setup tho the actualy setup uses a different charger
