nicel, revengelane on boostedfalcon had dual 3: in his lane aswell as NCIILANE on here also has duel 3" so i too know they will definitely fit. but im told ill get better power from a single 3" then i will with dual 2.5"

Dual 2 1/4 mate, and that is a tight fit over the diff and out back. The rear hotdogs actually had to be flattened out a bit and tacked together to fit.

as long as the volume of the twin system is equal to or greater than the volumetric efficiency of a single 3" system, that's all that matter's. I know I'd like to go twins with my setup. Probably go something very similar to JoeXR6's system.

Headers - HF cat - 3" pipe - hotdog- y piece- twin mandrel 2.25" pipes with mufflers over diff - y piece - resi - 3" mandrel tail pipe

The Volume isnt the only issue - heat, and speed of the exhaust traveling is affected as well which changes torque and power curves. Its possible to overdo an exhaust for that exact reason

nut with boost isnt the faster flowing less restrictive better? for example turbo - dump pipe - nothing is better then turbo - dump pipe - cat - muffler - resinator

Depending on how much back pressure the turbo's hot side provides, to an extent the bigger the dump pipe & cat are the better it will flow, but further down the back of the exhaust you might need to step down to a smaller pipe to keep up the exhaust gas velocity.......

I assume a turbo exhaust system will differ to a supercharger exhaust system...yes? Wouldn't an s/c exhaust system be similar to N/A?

cheers lukey. i move into the new house tomorrow. i have the keys and it has power now so its all good to move in.

hows this for s**t hey..

rang origin to connect the power, after signing me up they say monday morning i have to be there to connect it as thats the fastest they can get it done.. hung up the phone and rang intergral energy and asked about how long it would take, the lady replied "we can sign you up right now and have it on within 5 hours" so i signed up, rang origin back and canceled it. 2 hours later energex pulls up to inspect the place. and he said all companies have to go through energex for inspections and its all instant. i sign up he gets the notification to go there..

hows that for s**t service.. so origin lost my sale for trying to make me wait 3 days for connection.

best part about the new place is the 4 car garage under the house. i measured it today. there is 2 bays without doors which will be the work area which is the normal sized garage, then the 2 with doors are extra long due to the laundry at the end so there is HEAPS of room for the fairlane to fit inside. if you look back through my thread you will see my old garage where i had to wedge the car against the wall to close the garage door... no longer an issue :D i have some pics but for some reason every time i plug my nokia phone into the computer i have to use a new USB port and now it beeps to say its connected but the computer doesnt recognize that it is so i cant access any of the pics..

ill have the internet back on in a few weeks once i sort out how much cash we will have spare. as i dont want to spend all my left over cash on internet and nothing on the cars lol

well we are settled into the new house, have the internet connect but the fairlane is still at my parents. im awaiting a quote tomorrow on getting it trucked up here. however we towed up the laser tonight so i atleast have something to work on while i wait.

i did pick up some new goodies tho. i stopped off a fiery's place and helped strip an EF and i stole the carpet, the dash (dual airbag setup) and the ECU loom piece.

i gave the car a wash so its not filthy when it arrives lol

i have also worked out why the car woudnt start before... it seems ford had a GREAT idea of you needing the interior light working for the car to start... well at current i dont have any roof wiring done... so that explains alot actually. so once it arrives in my driveway ill replace the welsh plug, organize the water feed, screw in the oil feed and see if it will start..

i also refitted the bumper but for some reason it no longer fits snug so i need to lift the intercooler 5mm or so to help clear the bumper so i dont have to cut it up.

my number plates arrived the other week too. hopefully wont be too long before it all running with the ECU.

no point in hiring anything, we are about 500m away lol.. but you have to turn a few streets. i would tow it but there is a hanging handbrake cable, selector isnt attached to the gearbox, exhaust is hanging lol the usual. all the crap i still need to sort.. hard to do under body stuff in dirt/mud lol

Is all the hanging stuff gonna be an issue with a flat bed?

Wrap a rope around the middle to hold it all up of the ground a little and tow slow, it's only 500m anyway!
