Nice work dude, I like the idea of the hard lines for the header tank. That's got me thinking about mine, as I have been thinking about how to hide the lines, and your idea has just sparked a new idea for me!

Cheers

I like the use of the old tranny lines. Fits with the Reduce, Reuse & Recycle ideal. :D

I wonder if I still have the tranny lines from the silver EB Ghia I'm wrecking out? If so, I need to get a tube/pipe bender, and I reckon I could use them to hide the header tank lines under the rad support & inner guard. If i don't have them, I'll be keeping a set from the next car I wreck out lol.

Cheers

Hey Huggie, have you got any more photos of your intercooler mountings? I was trying to find some pics of how you mounted it, and have you cut the front bar yet?

i removed the wind deflector from inside the bumper (the one that flicks up and cant be seen and took off the side bits that sit up with it)

and for actual mounting a plain angle bracket up to the radiator support panel. 2 holes drilled and job done. but ill be making new ones as i dont like these ones as they are recycled shelf brackets...

on another note i bought a LTD to use as a daily lol

as you can expect for the asking price it has its issues.

runs 100% spot on. he said it hadnt been started in months and im thinking ok it will take a bit to start hope the battery has the power.. crank crank broooooom smooth as a babies bottom.

has rust in the dog legs but my mate with the tig welder who does my RWC's is going to cut it out and weld in new sections for me. then i need to convert the boot lock as the current boot lid is red but i have the white LTD boot lid here to go on. apart from that lower it on superlows, polish the LTD rims, polish up the car, add the sun visor and im set

How come you f**k around doing all this other random s**t instead of finishing the turbo conversion?

Arent you like 2 water lines and an exhaust away from having it running?

330 000k's, and yes red pin striping

dan, i needed a new daily. the one im driving now it my brothers which i have been driving for the past 12+ months, and i was given a 98 festiva trio but due to medical reasons i cant drive a manual much longer otherwise ill end up with life long injuries so the manuals have to go.

it needs some lines for water feed, exhaust ECU diff put together some new bushes, handbrake setup injectors and then tuning. so having a daily on LPG is going to save me a heap in fuel too.

as soon as the LTD has rego ill be down to 2 cars. the fairlane and the LTD everything else is going. whatever i get for the other 2 cars that are mine will be going towards the fairlanes completion
