G'Day everyone, Matt Here.

This Is my first project car: My BF XT Wagon.

As she sit's, She's as Stock as they come.
But i'm planning to add a few things to her.
List of mods to be:
Replace the Exhaust system so that she sounds decent.
Replace the standard speakers with some aftermarket ones. And wire up a Amp and Sub.
Lower + Wheels. ( Looking for standard mags off a XR6 or something. Not the plastic covers.
Will be changing the front grill mesh to silver.
Tint the windows and tail lights.
Few stickers.
And I might get a blue neon bar to go in the grille.
And I might ( If i can scrounge some at the wreckers.) Change the black trim on the sides to chrome...

As she sits now

Welcome Matt, looks like a good base to start with. I'm a wagon enthusiast so I'm always happy to see another wagon that's not grandpa spec.

Think carefully about what you want to do. Do a lot of research, (it's better getting it right the first time)....look at heaps of examples (look over the whole internet, not just fordmods.com)

Your ideas seems OK though, but I dunno about stickers?

Just as an idea, a few people have actually made B Series XR6 wagons by replacing bumpers, wheels, etc - stands out I suppose. Look on fordforums.com.au

Which trim are you talking about? If your talking about the black protection strip on the doors, then I've never seen/heard of chrome, but most people paint the XT protection strip the same colour as the car.

Or maybe you want an BF AWD wagon? LOL ! 8-) http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11331318

Thanks Guys, I've rethought the stickers and maybe I won't be putting them on. Keep it clean.
And yeah, I will definitely do heaps of research before I do anything, and the strips. I could have sworn I've seen chrome ones? Maybe not. But I might just paint them instead. Thanks for the idea :)

The XR6 Wagon looks awesome! But I'm sure that the parts aren't cheap. And you gotta get them painted, which is a trouble here. As there's no decent painters anywhere near here.

Food for thought.
Wasted opportunity by FORD not doing these from the factory.

Search Ebay. But hey, if it's going to be too expensive - dont worry! For now, just focus on
1.the rims,
2.ride height and
3.window tint!!
They're the first steps, I think you'll be reasonably impressed with the results.

That's the main ones I'm looking at, I've got someone looking at swapping me some rims for my 125 pit bike. They look ok. But he's given me some weird measurements.
5x114.3 pcd.
Anyone know what that means?

I can't help you with the numbers, but you must make sure they're FORD AU-FG rims. Chuck a photo up for us?

See if they'll let you test the rims before buying them...watch out for how much tread they have, cuz you might find yourself spending another $400 on tyres if they're not RWC.

Nah, I turned him down when he said that he will only send the wheels when the motorbike is delivered to his door via courier. In cash.

I said no and moved on :(
Sucks though. They where some nice looking wheels.

Btw is anyone selling any rims for a BF Falcon? 'Bout the 300 mark would be nice.

Did you buy the wagon yourself? And how much for?

(this is just what I would have done)....but sell it and get some more cash and buy an E Series falcon [EA-EL]... therefore you should have some spare cash to spend on doing the rims, lowering it etc etc.....plus you'll find a lot more interested users on here. 8-) Just my suggestion, you dont have to listen to me tho.

You can make E series look s*** hot very quick!
