Gotta love those classy fords from the 80's lol.

All the high rollers in my area drive them. :S

Those pushrods, 3 speed autos, 2 pinion diffs, broken doorhandles, wide turning circles, rusting c pillars and leaky panels rock.

HAHAHA, someone beat me too it, lol.

I had an XF, and a ZL fairlane, and compared to an E series, they are a bucket of s**t.

If i had relised the E series were so awesome when i got my licence, i wouldn't have bothered with any of the other buckets of puss i've owned, and woulda rolled in an EL GHIA from day one.

Andrew.

Yeah I had an XF too and while it was a fun car to thrash with a 351 it was a bucket of s**t compared to any E series.

Some people just dont get it though.

can someone tell me why the EF/EL base models are s**t??. You could pick up decent EF/EL for $5000 and it would s**t all over they XF, and would be heaps better on fuel.

they are s**t. all plastic. and boring. now a XF Fairlane or Fairmont. now theres class in a 80's Ford. like i said. get one on gas. really fuel efficent

I agree sort of. An XF with 20g thrown at it would make a nice streeter.

But you must have a crack pipe hanging out your mouth to say EF/EL's are s**t :)

Do not get a XF it will handle like a truck, it also sounds like a truck and it would barely beat a truck. I dont see how you could be asking which one to pick e series are miles better, base model or not EF/EL are still s**t hot.

funny one idiot. whats wrong with pushrods? or 3 speed autos, they're non electrical and cheaper, there is a trick to fixing the doorhandles for good, who gives a s**t about the turning circle seriously. do you buy a new car and ask "is the turning circle small?". and my XF never leaked water or rusted

nah EF/L base models are crap. get a high series. but my opinion is that the EF/L model in general looks crap. the shape of it is crap.

Anywho get what ever car you want.

If 3 speeds are so good why arent the BA's using them? There is a reason car manufacturers invented an overdrive gear.

Pushrods suck because they contributed to the mighty xflow's 120kw of heart stopping power.

You cant honestly tell me your XF is a better car than your EB?

Have you driven an EF? An EF is a much better car to drive again over the EA-ED's. Oh wait, you are 18 you know everything!

When I buy a car I make sure its better than everything else I can buy for the money. An XF doesnt even get considered these days.

XF parts are cheaper? lol have you bought anything lately? I picked up a 4 speed auto for an EF for $200 back in Jan and since November last year I've bought 3 EF's for less than $1200 each. XF's should be free in comparison.

Why call people names? Is that an indication of how classy driving an XF makes you?

In my personal opinion the EF is the best looking shape. I would rate it as the most comfortable car i have ever driven too. I have driven a BA xr6 and i relly didnt like it.

EFs are a top car. All you really need is some rims and maybe a bit of lowering and you have a nice clean good looking car.

As for Boxcars......well not much really needs to be said there!
