Looks nice and straight, as said before, an excellent starting point. Not sure if it's the shadow in the picture but it looks like you're missing the tailpipe.
Take a look through the forum and at what other members have done to their cars. Also, have a look at the RESOURCES tab up the top of the screen for a few easy mods to start you off. And don't be afraid to ask questions of us if you get stuck, that's the whole idea of this forum.

Hey guys, yeah its a really good car. Happy i bought it and drives beautifully. Has half an exhaust at the moment as it was fairly rusty on the last half of it so took it off. Will get a new one soon.
Gave her a good cut and polish. As well as a detail. The car has 3 major dints. One on the passenger door and the passenger rear door. Third one on the rear bar, which i will replace soon because it has sun damage. The car was previously kept in a car port, however the rear was exposed to the sun half the day. Will get the front bar resprayed as well. Other than that, ill get the windows tinted, a killer sound system, super lows, my mates 17s and it will look sweet. Here's some pics. Will get some trim ones soon.

Thought id post up my weekend cruiser. It hardly gets driven now since i got the falcon, but previously i didn't because i took the bus to school.
Just copied and pasted my info from my thread on Calaisturbo. Been a member on there since 2010. I purchased this VL in Oct 2010 fully stock except the wheels at that time.. I know the basics of cars etc but want to learn more. Bought it down near Canberra off a mechanic which was the second owner, from 95' - 10'. from 1987 till 95' an elderly gentleman owned it. My plans - Car is not my daily and sleeps in the shed through the week under a car cover, spending money here and there on it. When i reach my open license, i will convert her to genuine turbo, will all factory specifications. ( as if it was a genuine VLCT ) Only thing different will be I.D Plate. Name: Jackson Rainger Model: Genuine December 1987 Holden VL Calais N/A Plates: NSW JAK-094 Colour: Factory Alpine over Asteroid Silver. Bodykit: Stock Engine Type: Factory s2 rb30e Engine Mods: K&N Panel Filter Power: Unknown Exhaust: Pacemaker Extractors, High flow Catalytic Converter, 2.5 inch Redback catback ,3.5inch dump tip. Gearbox: Auto ML4 Diff: Stock Non LSD Brakes: Stock Suspension: Super Low Kings, Kmac Camber kit, Pedders shortened Sports Ryder shocks ( front ) Ultra Low Kings, Adj pan hard rod, Pedders shortened Sports Ryder shocks ( Rear ). Wheels/Tyres: S1 VE SSV wheels, 235/35/19 tires (Duran). Guards not rolled, no scrapping, Polished Calais rims with Atlas Whitewalls 215/60/15 Interior: Stock Beige Leather SII, White Venetians + fan type Other Mods: Standard Paint. New radiator, thermostat and brake pads. Chrome Handles ( preferred them ) Stereo: Factory head deck and speakers. Build Period: Oct 2010 - Ongoing Future mods: Sleeper ( when i reach my opens ) Turbo motor, convert the proper way, respray, new trans, driveline. Car is garaged, driven on weekends. Had Genuine 212,000klms when purchased. Im going for a super clean factory Calais look. My Favorites. When it had SSV's Polished Stock wheels with Atlas Whities.

Since having the Falcon i gave her a good inside and out clean, as well as the polish i shown you before. Here's a few shots of it after i cleaned it today.
Im going to Buy my mates 17"s, because they have new tyres and the ones on the Falcon are really old, which is quiet dangerous. So will get those after HSC. Then i put some super lows under it and get the front and rear bars resprayed. Ill give it a good service in the next few weeks, will do the G-box and diff while im at it, coolant flush and might get a new thermostat. As well as an EL intake system and i good clean up under the hood. In need of the Ash tray/cigarette lighter cover. Stock as a Rock

The EL intake system is actually more restrictive than the EF's setup. It only looks neater.
A better option is the BA/F (Or Territory) intake piping. I have a BA setup on mine with a pod filter, and she breathes quite nicely That reminds me, I really must update my build thread.... In regards to the ashtray cover, yours is an early series 1 type. The later ones just had the flip down bit on the ashtray itself because, as your has, the early ones tended to break. You'd have better luck just replacing the entire radio/astray surround as the ones like yours are getting hard to find. I did see one on e-bay a while ago.. but of course it was the 'Super rare, limited edition one with the flip out tray!!!' So that tripled the asking price v the normal type. You should be able to pick one up for next to bugger all and they are easy to swap out.

Thanks mate, i bought that exact same type thinking it was the s1 tray. Anyways im keen to just get the tray alone, because the surround is mint, only the tray is busted.
I got the windows tinted, and gave her another detail. Still Need to get a new exhaust. Only from the diff but. Actually good klms for a 94 model taxi averaged 10,000klm per year. Next things to do are get that ash tray, lower it slightly and get my mates 17s.

Hey guys, gave her a cut and polish as well as a wax. Hunting for a new rear bar, and the earlier model ash tray.
As well i bought my mates 17" wheels and gave her a service. Will do the Gearbox, coolant and Diff in the next few weeks. And fitted some red throw over seat covers to protect the seats. Will get some super lows for it in the next few months. New rear bar, respray the front one, and that's it. Other than that, washing it regularly and slowly becoming a much cleaner car. Pics.

Hey guys. bit of an update, Moved up to the coast and went to the wreckers and found some things for the Falcon. New Boot lid, Rear bumper and a few other little things. Found some steel wheels and resprayed them gloss black. Here's some pics so far. Front bar is off (painting it) and the new rear bumper is nearly on. Boot lid is on but just have to finish everything off and give her another polish. Got a new exhaust rubber, and may need a new rear half because its a bit rusty.
Old rear bar, and boot. Will paint the front bar this week. Since moving the qld, have to get a rwc soon so will pass easily. Need to get the AC leak fixed ( has die in it )
