After fitting the kits im glad i waited until i found a genuine set after seeing how poorly some fibre glass kits fit, these fit so much better :D the door spats will line up better, they sit high at the moment becuase the doors havent been adjusted on the hinges

Wow top effort stripping the car down. I wouldn't have the patience to do the whole interior haha. Should be a friggen awesome car once your done though. Oh and +1 for bolting gearbox to motor when re installing. Makes it so much easier doin it on the ground!

Cheers,
Corbin

Nice work bud!!!

Be carefull with blasting as it can warp the panels.... Maybe paint strip panels and blast the rest of the car?

Now that you come this far dont cut any corners, even if it takes another year to get onto the road!!!

Thanks guys, i will definalty be bolting the box on first, they better not warp the panels lol. I will talk to a few places and see what they think, i might look at soda blasting instead of sand or glass as i heard it is suposed to be less harsh.

rear lip on

Update, the car now has all its suspension and wheels back in for the moment, im not going for a bare metal respray now as once i had it stripped down the shell turn out to be in good condition with very minor rust and realy dosent need it. Will still be painting the whole car though including the engine bay and in door jams etc!. The body kits are mounted except for the rear lip i still have to bolt the middle of it up as its just sitting there and i picked up a series two el wing with the fin in the middle this week and have mounted that, now just need a el nose cone and its ready for paint. Its curently sporting four diferent colours lol.
