It had one heel of a chain rattle before i started pulling it down, so far i found a broken chain guide and the timing cover is also missing a chunk

Got stuck into it again this moring, almost just a bare block now :) Also found a chunk a chain guide in the sump to :roll:

Ok the plan for next w/e will be to at the very least try and get the thread issue in the crank sorted and really have a good crack at polishing the inlet manifold, if i can manage to find the patience lol :roll:

The peice of chain guide where i found it in the sump, i dont even want to know where the peices of timing cover ended up :lol:

ok ive been pretty lazy lately but i did pick a my head today wich is now ported and polished and also my pacey extractors which are port matched to the head and ceramic coated :D

i pulled my harmonic balancer off and didnt use the right puller tool and damaged the thread halfway through. used a 14mm 1.25 pitch tap and it came up a beaut. but then again while you have urs stripped u should helicoil it if u can
