The inlet manifold is getting port matched to the head this week and im going to look into abrasive porting for the inlet mainfold also :)

Sorry mate not sure what you mean, did you want to know what I told crow cams I wanted to use the car for?

Yea hopefully it is fairly chunky at idle, crow cams recommended 3.55 diff gears or shorter to drive it on the street, good thing I'm already getting 3.9's :D

Finally some one willing to use a cam with out a stupidly wide LSA.

That cam should make peak power just after 5000rpm.
Personally would have gone for more lift with that duration though.

Haha I can't be the only one running a tight lsa? I didn't think there would be anything to gain from higher lift, on the flow chart I got back with the head after porting it showed flow not really increasing anymore after 500 thou of lift. Or am I wrong? I only really have a mild understanding of cams lol. How would my cam compare to something like a 977b? I've been trying to finds specs on them but havent found anything.

110 isn't tight, it's just just not stupid wide like 114.
The faster you can open the valve the better, more lift for a given duration will open and close the valve faster.
977B will have faster valve rates, it has a little more lift bu 14degrees less duration at 50thou.
The 977B would peak earlier but make more mid range power.

I personally don't bother with off the shelf cams anymore. I call Surecam, give all the info and he grinds a cam to do the job.

Ok cool that makes sense thanks man, as a rough guess how much power do you think it will put down with that cam 11 to 1 comp and the head?? I'm going after market computer as well. I know I'll find out when it goes on the dyno anyway but it's doing my head it wondering about it lol

Post the flow numbers for the head and i'll run it through engine analyzer pro.
What intake manifold, BBM or the early log manifold? What diameter and length are the primary pipes of the headers?

Inlet- 202.2 @25h20
Exhaust- 170.6@25h20
I'm running a BBM manifold, I was thinking about getting it abrasive ported but I'm not sure yet, the primaries are 41mm, I'd have to measure them to tell you the length but I'm going to sell them and get 4480's so it's going to end up different anyway.

Cheers

I need a full flow chart. Flow @ lift from 0.050" to at least .500" intake and exhaust
Even then it's pretty basic, the porter should have given you a sheet with flow, average and peak velocity and port area average and minimum. Port 'cc' is a pointless measurement, as is peak flow with out any other info.

Crowcams should have asked for this info when ordered your cam.

That's the only flow chart I have for the head, my mate who does dyno tuning and what not organised the head porting and ordered the cam for me, he may have another sheet for it if that one is of no help.
