Ok so what was originally just going to be the repair of a timing chain rattle has turned into a full rebuild, im unsure of exactly what will be done to the engine but current plans and new highcomp pistons, head work, cam, injectors and ecu but i still have to sort out exactly what im going to do with it before anything is certain

Thought i would have a go at polishing the inlet manifold while it is off wich is going to be a monumetal efort if when i finish it lol

I thought when u said "rebuild " it would be pistons, rods bottom end stuff.
Are u just fixing up the top end ??

Yea i will be getting the bottom end out on a stand and doing pistons ect, i ordered an engine stand through work and it hasnt arived yet and being impatient i started pulling it apart in the car lol, plus im going to gets some mates around to give me a hand to drag the engine up my driveway
Hopefully the whole engine will be out of the car next w/e

Good on you for having a go at the work yourself.
It's hard to beat driving a car that you know you've rebuilt the engine yourself. Great pics too.

Squeezed in a bit more work before i have to go to work this arvy, just got the centre console, exhaust and tailshaft out.... the exhaust copped the grinder lol but im not using that exhaust again anyway

ok we made some progress today and got the the gearbox and what was left of the engine out of the car, and yes i did clean up the mess i made in front of my driveway lol
