Not to sure what im going to do with the carby yet, havent goten more pics as of yet but did get it running today wich was awsum, it hadnt been started for nearly two years ( it was turned over by hand a few times a month) so fresh fuel and filter, oil and filter, new points and set the gap, it was a bit rough at first but was alright after 10 mins or so, still gota sort the timing out as its a bit of and it was a bit rich to, i should probably pull the spark plugs out i forgot to look at them lol. Anyway heres a link to a video of it running the afternoon for anyone whos interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BCRk76oglY

The dam camera phone dosent do the sound much justice the deep sound is missing lol, anyway the sound put a smile on my face :D

Hey Jarrod, nice coupe. My 00.02c on the carby, go for a 600 vac sec holley - easy to tune, reasonable economy, etc.

Oh, and as for all these people saying to lock it away, I kinda get where they are coming from in a way, but fukit, just USE the car in my opinion....my XB coupe gets used daily, its my only car, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If I'm not driving that, I'm on my pushbike (I work in the city and I don't like parking it all day in town...) but if I need to drive somewhere, then the coupe is the only car I'd use. Oh, and a final note, if fuel economy is a worry, put it on gas. Mine's on gas and its actually a reasonably economical thing (its a 351 4 spd)

Does anyone know how hard it is to changed to a GT dash in an xb, do i need to change the speedo sender as the gt reads higher, and fuel sender ect?

The dash change will be pretty much plug and play.
You will just possibly need to add the wiring for the oil pressure guage or swap the light wore accross to the guage input.
The speed sensr will be fine. It will be a cable operated speedo in an XB anyway.

yea sweet, i was expecting to have to change the oil presure switch to a sender as it already has a low oil presure light, i just wasnt sure if a tacho wire would be there, and wether or not the GT had a diferent gearbox or diff ratio?? But even still it shouldnt be too hard, will see how i go when i manage to get my hands on one lol
