It's a 1975 model factory 351 4-speed with a 9 inch diff, Im the 3rd owner and it only has 81000 original k's on the clock. It came from the factory with the gt front end and fuel cap, These pics arent the best lol, especialy scince the family got back from camping and piled all the stuff on and around the car :x just snapped these few on my way out to work today will get some beter ones up later this week, has been siting for a few months now and has a bit of dust setled on it lol but will clean up heaps good, its not perfect has a few issues like the door seals coming of but thats easy fixed, unfortunately i cant drive it until after christmas as im still on my p's :( ... anyway heres some crappy pics :D

Sweet as! lots of mates had them back in the day - great cars but rear vision was pretty poor for parking!

Awesome XB!

I've heard Holleys can be temperamental too.

I'm a holley man myself, but you can get the thermoquads going good once you sort them out, they have a bad habit of stumbling off the mark. it's funny all the Sydney guys used to run holleys and melbourne guys seemed to be keen on carters but you never hear about them anymore! but a square bore holley is always better than a spreadbore on a Ford too for some reason.

No way dude you can't drive a nice car like that everyday from the day you start it goes downhill they never get better the more you drive! people have no respect - it's only an old car!? some jealous turd will either try to pinch it or key it - no, keep it for special occasions and don't leave it any where.

exactly my thoughts.
even in car parks people dont care. just wack thier door into yours.. wankers.
or like what happend to my cousins bf fairmont. was parked at the shops and sombody decided to kick the back door in.. no reason for it and if i had seen em do it...

I guess between now and when you get your license you can be saving for petrol

Has it still got the original thermoquad carb? I had one on my XB 351 hardtop. I thought it was a great carb. It actually wasn't that bad on juice if you just drove using the primaries. It didn't take long to get the feel of when the throttle started opening the secondaries.

I did try a 650 Holley on then took it off a few days after and went back to the thermoquad.

I'm not exactly what carby is on it, it's a motorcraft carby i can tell you that much lol

OK it's probably a later XB, I'd stick with a holley 2bbl either a 350 cfm or for a bit more up top a 500cfm, both are simple and easy to play with / fix, although new is always better with holley's, but if you can get hold of a 4 bbl manifold 600 holleys are sometimes cheaper!

Stuart just got a brand new 600 Holley from Hume performance yesterday for $355. Why would you rebuild them when you can get them new for that?
