Not really a build thread, just a log to keep track of the new daily.

Bought an Au2 Xr6 Vct Ute a few months ago.. Blue, manual , lpg, hardlid, 210,000 kms on the clock.

First thing was..

Clean ISC.
Reset base idle.
Lightly polished the roof to check condition of paint, looks ok, whole car could use a polish.
Changed filter and oil to full synthetic Penrite 10w50, has now developed lifter tick..
Replaced fuel filter and air filter.
Replaced PCV valve with genuine Ford, plastic type.

Has original radiator and hoses that will be replaced soon
Also have a Screamin Demon coil, Gasmaster leads and new plugs on the way

Replaced clutch cable with genuine Ford item. Firewall has been cracked in the past, has had a dodgy weld repair job, will look at repairing it properly when I have the exhaust off.

Changed diff oil with full synthetic castrol diff oil iv had in the shed for years, quietened the whine noise down a little.

Cleaned throttle body and lpg mixer, was covered in black s**t

Replaced airbox lid and clips

Fitted the screamin demon coil, Gasmaster leads and new plugs gapped to 1.3, feels as tho it revs a bit easier/quicker, will open the gap up more this weekend to see how it goes

Replaced radiator with 33mm adrad radiator
Replaced thermostat, stant brand, no bleed hole so I drilled a small hole the same size as old thermostat
Replaced top and bottom radiator hose and clamps

BA header tank won't fit an AU with ABS, no room to fit header tank to radiator hose

New cat and 2 1/2 inch exhaust.

No room for extractors due to lpg converters heat shield, unless I can find a slim/block hugging set, iv heard hi tech make a set. Might see if I can mod the set of pacemakers iv got here. Will look into that later, drivers seat needs attention next.

Repaired drivers seat today.
Used the base and back rest foam from a good passenger seat and managed to find a back rest seat cover from a drivers seat in good nic, added a bit of foam on the inside where they all wear from getting in and out and put all that on the utes seat frame.

Anyone that owns an AU, buy this:
Ebay 310620121215

Then download this:
http://forscan.org/home.html

Thanks muzza.

...............................................

New knock sensor & o2 sensor.
New battery.
Also fitted larger air intake.

Thought about removing the VCT and installing an aftermarket cam but after doing some research it seems as tho the AU VCT factory tune is quite bad and a custom tune can wake them up quite a bit, will look more into this after iv sorted out the extractors.
