Attachment: matt.jpg Here is Jew boy knowing nothing at all about electrics, building or cars, taking a day off real paid work in order to come and see if Fiend is a computer generated f**k, or a real human type f**k. Turns out real human. Andrew (owner of Chipmunks in Villawood) and me flew over, purchased two mattresses for $100au and slept on the floor whilst demo'ing the old Wiggles play centre and starting the new layout for Chippies. Only photo I took of real people in AU is this one. What a bloody idiot I am. Heaps of photos of bent cranes, stupid Ford forced induction engine bays and the odd lizard, but none of you guys that are the inspiration to the rest of us knowledgeless antipodean Ford fans. Just like some others on here, the less you know, the better you go. Otherwise we'd probably not start anything. Ever. And that roof... Bloody good ideas.... Gangsta. Nice effort on the chop chop Matt. Metal cutting blades on sabre saws are your friend too... Just saying... One of those photos looks a bit like a garage. Not so jewsish mate. I found serenity for a minute or two yesterday. She came up and fondled me after I did all my family court paperwork (with minutes to spare) and was weeding my garden for first time in six months. I am sure it really was serenity. Not one of her s*** sisters... She usually only visits when knee deep in gearbox oil and Ford juice. But, I suppose since all the witnesses didn't want to appear and the police key witness moved out of the area I live in (hahahhaa, nothing to do with me, honest) and the family court is out of my hands.... SERENE. Awesome. A lot like you with a bloody great big power tool and a Maverick in the back yard. Happiness. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

Not to self, try not to make any sense of the comments in this thread when extremely tired, All I got was a damn helicopter and some bloke being felt up by a girl named serenity or he's very happy with his extremely relaxed state of mind.... Now i'm not even sure if this makes any sense..
Loving the build mate, or am I suppose to say, your an ugly #&%^ and quite clever??? I'm going back to bed, my head hurts

Got a few hours in over the week.
Run out of steel yesterday arvo so had to get another sheet this arvo. Got home and started making sparks. Filled in the panel for under the rear window to seal the cab off. {DESCRIPTION} Then did some more to the window frame. Because I joined 2 barn door halves together in the middle I had the sides where the windows normally sat. Obviously wont work with a single rear window. Instead of being a dodgy C*** and making up little plates to fill the gaps and make a window recess I come up with another idea. Making plates would look s**t , be hard work and would most likely leak as it would be impossible to get 100%. I picked up another large rear barn door for a few jew coins. Chopped the upper and lower window frames out of it to use as fillers as they have the correct profile and sizing. Zapped them in and TAA-DAA! {DESCRIPTION} Fingers crossed I can get a good few hours in on it tomorrow and hopefully have the window frame 100% finished and welded in for good.

I got the few hours in on it I wanted to get today.
Welded in one of the rear door handle recesses. {DESCRIPTION} Whilst I find the third brakelight on vehicles about as appealing as watching gay porn while filling out a tax return and there is no legal requirement to have one on my model , it does add a look of factory to it. I had one laying around and my donor doors had the brackets. Chop this mount off the unused frame. {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} Measure up the new window frame and check for centre , trial fit the light and weld the bracket in. {DESCRIPTION} Rear window frame completed and welded in. {DESCRIPTION} Obviously its only got paint on it to protect it and will require to be run over with the old faithful car in a can.

With the back being 90% complete it was time to move onto the sides.
Made up a piece to see how it was going to work. {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} Works well! So this is where I have hit a bit of a stop for a bit. My little folder can only do around a 300mm length at a time. I decided to make small pieces and weld them together. Unfortunately my folder and the operator doesn't have the consistency to get it spot on and there are enough size differences for it to look s**t. So on Monday Don will drop the sample off to Daz , fabricator for the stars to make up some single piece units. Will be much much better. Unfortunately with me being on standby this weekend I cant get it across to him any earlier. Otherwise Im very happy with progress over the last few days.

Being Sunday and my lack of desire to give the C*** next door anything more to whinge about , the power tools had the day off.
Decided to have a look at cleaning up the underbody. I thought it was muddy stone guard under it and I was just have to give it a quick scrub and it would be good to go for a blast of paint to tidy it up. Turns out there is no stone guard. It was baked on mud.............................. s**t pictures as the idud doesn't work too great under a car but we are getting there. Before {DESCRIPTION} After {DESCRIPTION} Getting it all scrubbed up pretty and ready for paint will be the job for the evenings this week. Fingers crossed I can actually start bolting s**t back in it soon?

Still plodding along.
Due to me being on standby and not being able to get away from work or home and with Christmas holidays starting I wasn't able to get my stuff across to Daz in time to get it done. Just one of those things. So we went from Dazfab greatness to Mattfap dodgyness! {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} All in all its coming out not too bad really. It should clean up well. At least it is giving an indication of where I am heading now with the overall look of the body. A good mate picked up a set of leather XR ute seats that have the flip forward function for something or the other he is working on. Anyway he didn't need the flip function and thought they would be useful to me now mine is becoming the extra cab , so he swapped me for my fabric XR sedan seats. Im very happy and very appreciative. {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} Also actually did a bit of work on the ute. It now has a handbrake for the first time in months!!! Finally got around to adjusting it when I had it jacked up. For ages it has suffered badly from axle tramp. Apparantly one of the causes is the poor design of the leaf spring retainers. They wear and let the diff twist on the leaf pack. I picked these up near on 12 months ago before I did my shoulder at work. Finally was able to fit them on the weekend. {DESCRIPTION} CNC machined billet mounts. They have made the back of the ute feel much tighter and taken away the floaty feeling it had. Doesn't ride any harder so that's good. The machining on them is first rate. They are that close a fit they actually had to be tapped into the shock plate and diff. Found somewhere I could get away with taking off in a way that would introduce axle tramp. After leaving a thick pair of 11's behind me and not having any tramp whatsoever I reckon it was the problem. The old factory rubber mounts were a bit past their prime I reckon.................. {DESCRIPTION} So then after fixing the tramp issue and handbrake the ute looked inviting enough for an angry old Pommy b**ch to drive into the back of it. There is stuff all damage but she wants to be a mole about sorting it out , so I have decided f**k it my insurance company can do it. I managed to get all her details from the police , have passed them onto my insurance so its a not at fault for me and no excess to be paid. Ute is booked into the panel shop early in the new year for quote and repairs. Santa Don also pulled up at my place early. For years I have been on the look out for a set of 6 studs Bathurst Globes for the old girl. They are somewhat rare nowdays. Don found a set of 5 in the right size and offset for the Mav so snapped them up for me. {DESCRIPTION} They need a refurbish but I now have a set! Sold my old wheels and tyres to a mates son in law so will be putting some new 35" muds back on it when its ready to go back on the road. It is getting there.
