What exhaust are you running on this big girl?

Looks like it would be one bloody fun ride up some rutty rocky hill!

Custom made 4 into 1 extractors into a single 2.5" with a straight through muffler. When I destroy this exhaust on a rock ledge or it rusts out I will get a 3" for it. I know a lot of power is being lost through the exhaust but it I had it fitted to the old boat anchor 4.2 only about a month before the head let go so I didnt want to chuck it away.

Was LPG done for engineering, or has it been done for better economy? though it would've been better than the old boat anchor.......

 Daz 8-)

The LPG was hooked up because it was already there from the old motor and Im a a*** that likes to save money whereever I can and not waste stuff.
It has HEAPS better economy then the old boat anchor. I have recently fitted an Impco mixer and a 425 Impco gas carb and untuned Im getting about 3.5km's a litre on gas. I reckon once its tuned it should be good for around 4.5. Not good but not bad for a 2.4 tonne vehicle on big rubber.
On petrol it gets around 7 km's to the litre.

Yeah it was. We had a few issues with the kit. To this day we cant say if it was just badly designed or if we were too anal in what we wanted it to come out like.
Either way all the probs were sorted out.

Ive heard a lot of similar stories about dellow kits. All the 4wd sites pretty much say to stay away from them.

Its a great buildup. The old 4.2 is pretty average. Mine goes a bit better now but its still an inefficient pos.

i dont mind my 4.2, although mines a diesel... sounds great with extractors and 3'' exhaust :P

bit thirsty though, used 95L from Port Lincoln to Adelaide... roughly 750km.

Nah mate had other stuff happening and am still crook. Not the best weather at the moment to be playing with paint here anyway.
It will be a big job when I start the paint as it will pretty much be going back to bare metal and starting a fresh.
Will get into it when the rego runs out in late July.
