Cheers guys.
Yep it passed!
Just had to remove the middle seatbelt in the rear as we had to change it to a 4 seater classification to comply with weights. Doesnt worry me. The truck has never had 5 people in it anyway and the middle seat is slightly worse then useless.
Pick the report up tomorrow afternoon. $880 all up is a bit of an ouch.
The vehicle classification is being changed from MC2 to NA2 so it will be a legitmate ute.
Advantage is a LOT of ADR's go walkabout so further mods are much easier and I can now legally park in a loading zone and tell the bombers to get f**k!
Disadvantage is the green slip went up $90 a year. Oh well. If you wanna play you have to pay.
So now this week it will be blueslip design check , pink slip and pay the rego......................can someone keep a coupleo f food scraps for me this week?
Fingers crossed it should all be done by the end of the week.
Im a happy boy now!

Was expecting it to be around the 5-600 mark Ash but there is a bit more in it then first expected by either of us.
The engineer I use is expensive but he is in well with the RTA and there are generally no issues at all with any of his certificates.
The way things are going with modified vehicles I am rally happy to have everything 100% above board and legit.

Oh yes it is pretty it up a LOT time.
The pretty it up stage has been planned / worked out this afternoon.
The final colour of the Mav has been picked. All I will say is that it is a Ford Colour from the early to mid 70's and is WAAAAY out there. Anyone who calls me a tripper once it is done will most likely be correct! I will not be able to hide anywhere................
Popped down and saw the trimmer I always use this afternoon and once I have done a couple of little things it is going down to have a custom tonneau made up. It will all be shaped to suit and have single pull downs on it as a compromise between looks and practicallity. Cost? I ll get change out of $200......... Hopefully get it ready to go in the next couple of weeks.
Also have had a way out there thought that I have to measure up and investigate.
Seeing as though the seating capacity has been changed to 4 people , I am going to look at fitting bucket seats to the rear as well and either having a full length console for storage and ECU , air compressor etc or if there is enough room mount the fridge between the rear seats as a console and arm rest.
I like the idea of having the fridge in the middle as it will be locked up inside and we will just have to reach around to grab a nice cold drink. This requires further thought and investigation. I need to get another pair of EB seats (preferably another set of XR8 ones) to dummy it up and see if it will work. But atthe moment I will get anything that is about the right size and is the right price and see if it will work. If anyone has any E series or AU buckets they are preparred to let go for the right price please let me know. Whats another engineers report? LOL

Ok, its not all that much more then really if that was what you were expecting. It was a lot more then I thought it would be as my XF only cost me $450 all up for all the mods.

I have plenty of spinach, lemons, lemonades, limes, fennel or rhubarb if that will help your grocery bill this week

Yeah it wasnt much more Ash. I knew this guy wasnt cheap but he is close to home , and I know how he works so it is money well spent. For that price to he is also supplying another set of spare modification compliance plates so when I paint the truck I can replace them , as they are a stick on non tamper thing from him.
I might have to run up to your joint Ash and become a vegie this week. It would mean but I would most likely end up eating one of your goats and I dont know if I could handle facing up to you after that!
