Glad to read it's running again & has some progress made. It's always good news to read about progress.

If your up to the task of making a set of turbo manifolds & some pipe work, good power can be had from the v8 too, not as easy as "bolt on" like the 6 tho......

Cheers

Very true there Torana guy.
The very evil bastard TerroristGHIA pointed me in the direction of the summit cattalogue.
Lets just say at the moment the thought of a 347 build for the Mav sometime next year is looking inviting.
It would be torque city. Nothing major will be happening for at least 6 months but. Too much going on and coming up that needs to be sorted out before I start playing cars again.
The time has finally come where I might just have to learn some patience. Donna has been telling me to get some for the last 5 years and the olds have been telling me for 30 years.
Maybe its time...............
Actually its probably high time I stopped making plans and just go with the flow. That way when a plan doesnt work out I wont be getting the s**t.
That could be an idea.
Either way Im going off road on Sunday!

Some interesting & deep thoughts there man.

Maybe you need to make "loose plans" with what you would like, but don't set to many details like completion time in concrete, then you won't have to worry so much about slowing down, you can take a break when you like.

In some ways I too probably should take a break, but the weather is getting better, meaning more can get done, and if I can power thru things while the weather is good, I can relax a bit when it starts to cool off somewhat.

Besides, I don't mind burning the midnight oil on a nice warm to hot summers night! :-)

Cheers

Things are a happening. Was just going to sell the lane and put the money in the bank but I got tired very quickly of ebay wankers wanting the world for nothing.
Then the motor in the Mav started getting very sick somewhat quickly so it is time to kill the lane and do the swap.
Goinf to be very interesting fitting a RPMII in the limited amount of room I have near the firewall. Might be getting the grinder back out...................
It has been decided that the XR8 will not be molested any further then the springs and wheels so all the gear I had tucked aside for that is on the market as well.
So this weekend is when it all starts.
Donna has also requested that I actually wash the Mav for a change , stop storing stuff on top of it , stop chucking random s**t on the bonnet and to refrain from closing the doors with my feet and actually show it a little bit of respect and then paint it................bloody women hey.

Yeah have thought about putting the 2 mufflers side by side. Want to get them up as close to the body as possible. Want the bare minimum hanging below the chassis rails.
Really want a nice loud twin system this time around so it will be some stuffing around but doable!

Took the old girl out for a bit of a wheel last night with a few somewhat dubious , shady characters...........was very wet , lots of mud and clay with a few good rocks thrown into the mix.
I must say once I got my mojo back on the track I remembered why I put it together and worked out I have been wasting my time playing with road cars again.
I loved every second of it.
Wasnt an extreme track by any stretch of the imagination but the old nugget just ate anything that was thrown at it.
Looking very much forward to more power time and must get the heater and air con running again. Did suck a bit on a cool wet night trying to keep the windows clear to see where I was going.
Also really need to put some rock lights on it so I can see just what hole I am about to fall into.
Also a set of side steps/sliders are a necessity that are on their way.

Foggy windows, bit of heavy breathing hey????
I got some real good trim cleaner here, to get the skiddys off the seats.
Not an extreme track for you? So it was ony an 85 degree cliff face you went up, not 90???

Just jokin man.
