Only total rubber place I know down here Ash is tool boys bedroom..............
While there are some very large diameter rubber objects in there I dont know if I would like to install any of them to my car.
Plus the stray gerbils coming out of them would most likely block the throttle body!

Mmmmn Auburn is not that far from my place.
Just need to fit my Leb suit before going.
Will see how I go at the Mack joint tomorrow and if all else fails it will be a Tuesday arvo job once I drop the Mav off at the trimmers.

Cheers Stu. I sorted it out this afternoon. I wanted to go to a good hardware store and see what was available but unfortunatley as you know around here we only have Bunnings.................
Found some 90mm PVC storm water pipe and some fitting that look like they are going to do the job.
It is all in and pretty much fits but just needs some gentle manipulation with a heat gun to form up 100%.

Ok well Santa come to visit early today.
It was decided that since we are going camping this weekend and we have been having a couple of "light" showers down here lately that a tonneau needed to be had for the ute.
Plus it just looked really crap and not even good enough to be half done without one.
So Donna booked it into the trimmers and get my early christmas pressy done!
Image

All custom made to suit. It fits perfect and will have the centre support bar fitted on Friday. The trimmer didnt getthe steel rod in tiem to put it in before I picked it up today.

Don also got me a new spare wheel cover made up. Actually mad eout of proper tonneau material , not the s**t vinyl that the mass produced ones are made from.
Image
Very very happy with it all. The workmanship is awesome.

Also a couple of new lights arrived. I got a SMD LED setup for the interior light. % minute screw in setup. f**k its bright is a phrase that comes to mind.
This is inside the truck in total darkness outside.

Through the tinted window at the rear.

Also bought a 18W 6 LED work light for the rear post. Am hooking that up on a 3 way switch for either off , work or reverse light.
I have hooked it up quickly to a battery and its bloody bright.
The real test will be over the weekend as we are camping!

Also a couple of other goodies have been gotten via a few members here who are keen to help me see this thing finished.
There is plenty of thanks to be given.
Another sexy bit will be ordered tomorrow. Should have that Friday.................this motor install is getting closer!

Yeah Ash we had flash flooding here this afternoon. Unfortunatley it clears up when its time to go to work.............
Yeah the trimmer I use is one of the best I have ever seen. He is very well priced as well and is just a no s**t guy.
If it cant be done or will be s**t the way you want it done he will straight up tell you. He would rather lose a job then put out s**t workmanship.
f**k it shameless free plug:
M&W Motor Trimmers Peachtree Road Penrith. 0247321459 Ask for Jim and tell him Matt sent you. For the tonneau made , all clips supplied and fitted and the spare wheel cover it was only $270. Not bad in my books!
Yeah Ash the chop is getting close to being complete until I change something else. Still plenty of ruff bits to fix but the tonneau has bought me some time.
Looking forward to changing the motor over and having a break from it for a bit.
Want to do a few things to the XR8 just so its different grease under my nails for a change.
The body will start getting looked at after chrissy.

Yeah Ash thats the price for the lot.
He does do me a sweet deal as I have been usinghim for years and years and have sent a fair bit of work his way. But I dnt think I go that much better then anyone else would.
By the way that bit we were talking about will be on its way to my place tomorrow..............
