Have decided instead of having a couple of threads happening I would just put everything into the one thread.
Some vehicles will get stacks done to them , others very little so this way we can keep it interesting.
Well the household got another addition last night.
I am officially a grumpy old bastard................ we now own a EF GLi wagon.............6 cylinder on LPG
It is 100% stock as a rock except for a set of FTR's that were on it when we bought it.
Too hot to be a*** going out and taking pics but imagine a Metallic blue EF Wagon and thats about it.
Got it for a pretty good price and it was filthy so spent today out cleaning it up a bit for use. We got it as the XR8 is suffering a bit doing the daily grind so Donna is going to have the wags as the daily hack and the XR is going to be kept for times when we want to enjoy it not just have it as transport.
So very soon I will be fixing a few things on the XR that are bugging us , going a bit silly cleaning it up and fitting the Bilsteins etc and keeping it as the nice car it is.
Plans for the wags are not much. Put one of our spare headdecks in it , lower it a bit , get the windows retinted and thats about it for a while. We just want a car we dont really have to worry about if it gets a door opened into it etc.
Currently looking into a T5 conversion for it but.
More to follow once I get back into doing stuff.

Far out man, another car to add to the stable! A wagon on LPG that can be a family hack will help to keep the others in good shape, that's for sure.

Can't wait to see some pics, must be pretty impressive to line them all up for one pic!

Cheers

Well here is a crappy snap of the new hack.
Image

The LPG is playing games. Runs great one day and wont idle , dies when slowing down at intersections etc the next. Need to get it accross to the gas dude to check it out. Will throw a new set of plugs at it and service it first.
Donna is somewhat enjoying driving it to work. She actually used it today to transport some stock around as she had the excuse of getting away from work as the stuff would fit in the wagon..............cheeky b**ch!

Didnt take long but for the playing bug to bite. Will be selling the FTR's on it and putting my old set of 17" AU rims on it , I am getting the lowered front springs Friday night cheers to dc_todd , so then just have to grab a set of blocks for the rear.
Will end up painting the old NF lane moulds and putting them on , do a power window and other electrics conversion and retint the windows. Also in the soon to come pipeline is the T5 conversion and possibly an AU motor while the manual is being changed over.
Wont be a bad little hack all in all.

I had that same dies as you slow down problem, saw Joe and there was some pipework missing, mainly the one from the converter to air intake which fixed it straight up

Funnily enough Rossco the balance pipe was the first thing I looked for. It is on there.
Might be loose or something. Might have to give it more then 3 seconds of attention.

Will do.
Something I found funny with it was the anti backfire plate has been put in the dirty air side of the filter box for some dumb a*** reason.
Im sure it has to be on the clean air side doesnt it?

If you want, you can do the same dodgy that I did with my gold EF. You don't need the balance pipe if you remove the snorkel to the airbox (I couldn't bring myself to cut up the T3 one that I had).

Only downside is that your car will suck in a lot of hot air (which may be a perfect balance for you) :P

BTW, how's winter??

Checked the balance pipe today and it isnt blocked or anything but is right in the bottom of the snorkel at the rear.
Seems a dumb a*** place so might relocate it. Failing that the gas dude can fix it the week after next on my day off.
Winter is ok but not as good as I would like. But I would be only happy sitting inside a fridge.

In other meaningless news a new set of Falken 255/40 17's were ordered today for the XR8 and will be fitted tomorrow afternoon.
So at some time over the weekend the wags will have the old set of 255's on it. Big rubber goodness!

The wags does get first thought goodness Daz. Everytime it gets fuel it is bought only for it and not recycled. Otherwise yeah it is the hand me down Sam car.
Believe it or not I actually totally forgot about the bonnet. Must come over and grab it.

It didnt take long for the wags to be tinkered with............
It is now wearing the 17" AU2 XR rims from my old Fairlane.
The Fairmont Ghia dash generously donated by TerroristGHIA has been slung into it. Just need to buy an oil sender now.
dc_todd slung a set of white line superlows my way for it and was cool with ME drinking the Wild Turkey cans I got him as payment......... they will be going in once I put the Bilsteins in the XR8 and the near new XR8 front shocks will get handed down to wags. Found today while swapping the wheels it already has a caster correction kit fitted to it so that will make the wheel alignment after lowering much easier.
5 speed has been located that I have to pick up and 3.45 diff has also been located thanks to taxi 5l.
Also have got an EF XR6 manual computer on the way. So all is well.
Will I need the 300kpa reg to run the XR computer ok or will I get away with running the standard one?
Depending on the time and $$'s available it may also get an AU conversion done when the gearbox is changed.
