No you won't need a XR fuel reg, will work fine with the stock unit.

Haha Grant.
Nah the wagon is still auto. Have had the week off work on a little holiday and havent been f**k touching it or anything else.
The alternator shat itself on the wags today and I changed that and the battery under great protest. I was happy to let the f**k thing sit there but that meant we would be parking the XR at the zoo tomorrow. I decided I would just be better off changing the alternator.
Will give a serious look at changing the suspenion over in the XR next week after work. Then I can do the other s**t to the wags. Will do power windows , manual etc while its all apart and just do things once.
Next month the Mav should be getting more coin thrown at it and then the camper trailer will get a rehash.
Got a couple of things to do...........

fare dinkum! what kind of weirdo cuts up a perfectly good Mav wagon into a dual cab?

is there something f**k wrong with your head or what?

wat engineers did you end up useing as i have almost finished my range rover ute chop so i need some1 to look at that and the lift as well

i know theres definatly something wrong with mine
ive done my bracing too and ready to panel it all up dude and have a back window ready for it!
just a tip,,,, get plenty of photos for the engineers, put in some child restraint points and for the internal finishing im using some stuff called Alupanel

its nice stuff and easy to work yet its nice and strong!
ill get around to pming you the engineers im using dude, havnt forgot just been busy with the sick other half since she had the stroke!

might be an idea to organise a viewing of eachothers Mav and throw some ideas around!

i was going to go style side but im glad im not now
after cutting the back right off i measured and damn ive got heaps of room the tipper tray im building for it!

and just another thought...........your going to need somewhere for your spare will will take up room!

did you keep the rear roof section?? it is ideal to finish off the a** end when you butt it up
i did that on mine and damn its going to look factory!

cheers Harv

Will get around to taking some pics Jake once they are all in.
Have to get the Britex onto them as after all the rain we just had for some reason the whole car smells like cat piss now. Its pretty wrong!
Have to get across to Daz's place and get the bonnet out of his way.
Been doing as fair amount of stuff as of late.
Image

Donna bought me some Speco guages and cups for Christmas. Water Temp , Oil pressure and 2 volts guages. Have to get a few more in time and then will do something similar to what Daz has done with his custom dash.

Knocked up this little dodgy pod to hold the new stereo.
Image

Undecided on whether to get this one covered in vinyl and foam yet or to just buy one. Not real keen on the $300+ bill that comes with them. Made a bracket to mount the UHF off the rear view mirror mount as I needed the space for this.
Image

Got a DVD player cheap so that makes life more interesting.

Bought some 4" exhaust bends and a ram head and made a new snorkel.

Image
Need to get a pic of it finished. Now just to do the airbox to suit.

Also it hasnt been going around corners all that well lately. Did a bit of pokinga round and found the rear upper control arms bushes were sad , the steering dampner was well past its due date and surely these radius rod bushes have some more life in them...........
Image

New bushes are all fitted , new dampner fitted. Just waiting on Nissan to get the new radius rod bolts in. they were meant to be here today but they never made it up form Melbourne. Hopefully tomorrow.
The next part is due to come on the UPS truck tomorrow.........
It cost a bit but will make things much more reliable and somewhat tidier........................
