Yeah Ash I do miss my old ute. Was so handy and f**k fun!
Im hoping I get some good bucks for the cowboy stuff as well. I had a look on flea bay and saw 2 x5 posters at $1200 and $1000 each. Scary part was both of them had bids!

Well Matt,

That good priced ute is suddenly looking so good you may as well have stole it...

Cheers,
Timmy

Fingers crossed Timmy!
The 5 poster and roll bar are now on eBay so we shall see what comes of it. Most likely nothing..........lol.
At least there is that much alloy in them that they would be worth something at the scrap yard.
If I got anywhere near what the others are selling for I would be absolutley wrapped!

Hey even if you don't make a motza on them on eBay, think of the fuel savings from removal of added weight and lack of aerodynamics!!

Tell me about it Rossco.
Put the ute across the weighbridge today when getting some firewood.
Bloody thing come in at 1960kgs! Not too bad for a vehicle that should be about 1600 at most!
I would probably get a mint at the scrap metal man in weight!

Cheers Paul. Will do if I can fit it in the white car.
XR had wheel alignment done today and was test driven tonight. Takes a bit of getting used to as I didnt realise E series Falcons actually can have responsive steering!
Steers really well and sits nice and flat on the bends. If anything it is a little too stiff but it handles very well now.
The rumour about EF and EL having differnet discs on ABS models I can confirm to be true. Put the original DBA slotted rotors on after having them machined and no ABS faults showing and no random ABS activation. It once again has a nice strong , solid pedal.
Next job on the XR is to fit the explorer manifold. Possibly next weekend when I have another 3 day weekend to get it all done.

Picked the EL XR seats back up from the trimmer today and they are good but need more money spent on them to be great so they are going to go into the ute to cure the s**t EF GLi seats in it at the moment.
This weekend involves actually getting some overtime on Saturday  and getting the wagon ready to be sold. Will swap some wheels and the momo around , a quick service and a tub and get it advertised. Donna popped it down to the window tint place today and had the old crappy tint taken off it and it looks 1000 times better. The old bubbling tint was the first thing you saw when you looked at it. The little things all make something look more presentable when selling I reckon.
Hopefully the 5 poster and roll bar will be coming off the ute this week as well.

This afternoon consisted of fitting the XR seats to the ute and putting the XR steering wheel I had here on it as well.
Much improvement already!

Well seeing as though the rapture didnt happen and we were not going to be requiring a roll bar and stupid f**k off bullbar to be fighting zombies we decided this afternoon was going to be the cow rapture.
Yep all the cow rooting s**t is GONE!
Between SWC and BenJ they dug me up a white front bar that while it will never win any beauty contests looks a thousand times better then the 5 poster.
The EF XR front is currently in SWC's capable hands having a couple of repairs done so it should be back soon and painted up ready to go on.
What the old nugget looks like now with roll bar removed , 5 poster removed . stone deflectors on the sills removed and the LOUTH RACES and R M Williams longhorns removed from the back window.

Its actually staring to look half respectable!
The interior now with EL XR seats and XR steering wheels fitted.

Only took a few hours of effort with me and Donna doing it but I reckon it has very good results.

Unfortunately we run out of time to get the gear in it to lower it. Will start looking at that tomorrow afternoon.

That looks much better Matt. Should get better fuel mileage/speed now too seeing as you aren't hauling around a monster truck roll cage and Freightliner plow. Didn't happen to find a set of a**-less chaps in the tray did you?

Going to keep them in the garage for the future undead invasion?

Cheers Mason.
Nope they are leaving the building big time. The future undead invasion will be fought in the Maverick. I will have it running before the next one is due to come on line.
No a*** less chaps were found. But I did find a couple of tie down straps and a roll of gaff tape  . I think the a*** chaps would of been less disturbing!
