if your looking at lowering it soon. i have a set of pedders superlows and 2inch lowering blocks with u bolts for $80, they are out of a wagon that i scraped years ago, and just dug them up to sell of flee bay and forums to get rid of them.

let me know if your interested

Thanks anyway mate but I have the same sitting here ready to go.

Just ordered a new set of taillights and a new tonneau for it as the current tonneau was chopped to fit around the roll bar and is rooted.
I also fitted the clear repeater lamps out of my old NF to it today as well.
I think it will actually come up alright.

5 poster sold on eBay last night for $711 and the buyer is driving up from Victoria on Thursday night to pick it up! Being an eBay sale I will believe its sold once the cash is in my hand but if it happens its pretty impressive.
This weekend should entail an Explorer install on an XR8 so once that is done thats one out of the way for a bit.
A little something I found while flicking through eBay that I couldnt resist getting for the Mav.

Will look great on it when the day ever comes that I get around to painting it.

The seller is a complete and utter fraud....................
The buyers feedback looks to be fine. Its 100% and he has done a few transactions and was quick to contact me.
Shoot me a message with a pic of the Tickford cover and a price. Its up to the boss what she wants to do.

Haha whoops, I meant BUYER. Just been browsing some car parts site in the Philippines and have "sellers feedback" ingrained into my head.

I'll PM you now 8-)

Took the ute out for a run tonight now all the crap is removed from it and it goes much much better.
Actually for what I believe is a stock standard 4.0 with some extractors and a rudely loud exhaust it goes VERY well.
It now has some traction issues. What a shame.

Yeah man, that's a crying shame isn't it? ;-) I guess it will help keep someone in a job at a tyre business lol.

Cheers

Awesomeness. Thanks Paul. Much much appreciated.
Managed to get the superlows in the front of it this afternoon so it is no longer at 4x4 height.
Was about to drag the lead light out and go for broke and do the back as well but it started to piss down so that operation was canned. Tomorrow hopefully.
Now just trying to decide on whether to put the 17" Longchamps off the wagon on it or drag the 17" AUII copies out for another tour of duty............................

Got the back sorted out this afternoon so the ute is now sitting a bit closer to the ground.
Image

Its not hectic dumped but at the end of the day it will be used everyday and will be used as a ute not just a show pony so we dont really want the issues with it scrapping everywhere and being a defect magnet.
Still looks much much better.
New tyres ordered this afternoon (there goes last Saturdays overtime............) and they will be in either Friday or early next week. Then the terrible 15's can finally come off it.
Have to fit a new camber adjuster to the front as I managed to snap the end of the bolt off one and it now has no provision to fit a shim in. Will put the slotted rotors on while its apart.

Tomorrow afternoon is the start of the explorer install to the XR8.

Nice & practical. How a ute needs to be if you wish to actually use it like a ute.

Can't wait to see pics of the explorer install.

Cheers

Well there is no turning back now.
Image

Started stripping it down this afternoon after work.
My biggest worry was that the bolts that go through the water jacket in the head were going to snap like they did when I changed the Fairlane over. Seeing as though we are not changing heads on the XR as of yet it would of been an issue if it happened.
Using large amounts of Wurth Rost Off and taking my time resulted in all the inlet bolts coming out in one piece. WIN!
Will take the injectors up and get them serviced in the morning (might as well while its all apart) and start putting it all back together. Fingers crossed they come back in time to have it running tomorrow night. If not Saturday.

Todays little update.

Didnt get it finished as I got held up waiting for the injectors to be finished. Apparantly they were plenty grotty and were well over due for a clean. The flow rates were right down on what they should of been.
Tomorrow morning will be fit the ISC and TPS and adjust them all up.
Sort out the vacuum hoses.
Modify the BBQ plate and refit.
Change the plugs and leads and give it a service.
The go "exploring" the new found horses.
Pretty happy all in all.
