Shall be a fun week ahead.
Clutch finally shat itself. No more adjustment left in it so it will be up on the stands having a new one fitted in the arvos during the week.
While it is up in the air I shall also fit the 3.45 LSD ute diff and alloy tailshaft I picked up today.....................

So far this week the grand amount of..................f**k all has been done.
Ute was parked Monday and hasnt moved since. Put $50 fuel in the Mav Monday night and it still has heaps in it.
Haha. Been sick as a dog all week so have just been a house bum. Now I have managed to pass it on to Donna....................quiet weekend coming here.

Now I need some answers!

Seeing as though I have a spare EL out the back I have decided that the standard XH rear brakes are going to be replaced with the EL ones when I swap the diff. The diff is from an EF wagon so at least the caliper wills bolt straight on.
I havent jumped under it to check yet but does the XH run the twin hardline down the body for the barkelines as per EL or is it the solid hardlne accross the diff like the EB setup?

Also I will be throwing away the umbrella handbrake and fitting the EL floor one which seems quite easy but will I need to get an EF EL wagon handbrake cable or will the sedan one do?

Just would be nice to have all the bits on hand before cracking into it.

Matt, as I recall the handbrake cable attached to the handle is the same regardless of the model shape, but it is the diff handbrake cable that is longer on the wagon.

Cheers

I went for quite some time without a handbrake lol.

Plenty of them at Pick N Payless. Just make sure you get one off the same model as your diff. EF and EL wagon handbrake cables are different.

Cheers

Yes along with the rest of the Mav.

Well I got this today.

Complete 5 speed conversion for the 5.0. Still even has the cruise control switch on the clutch peddle.
Come up at the right price at the wrong time but in the long run it will be the financially smarter thing to do.
Just need to find time to fit it all up now!

Looking good mate, the good s**t always seems to come up at the wrong time.

Is the wiring for the clutch pedal cruise switch in the auto loom? I've got mine mounted but haven't even checked to see If I've plugged it in... :?

You are getting quite the collection of V8's/manual V8's
