He has had that one for a long time. The only thing that was missing off his shopping list of STD's was full-blown AIDS (as he already had the hiv).

Ok changes changes changes.
Dont have any pics at the moment as it is pissing down here in Sydney.
Just before Christmas Ash made a couple of sounds about getting out of his AU 5.0 5 speed ute(apparantly a Mustang is a better car or something stupid) so a couple of late night PM's were traded and I was due to be the new owner after Christmas when my XH sold.
Well the bloody XH sold within 3 days of advertising it! So I ended up jumping on the train the Saturday before Chrissy to pick up a ute.
Since it has come home the windows have been tinted , new headdeck fitted , exhaust changed around and a mate at work had a set of 19's he offered to me real cheap.
Then dc_todd rocked up at home one afternoon with a set of XR8 seats and a 4 pack of JD to replace the horrible XLS seats in the ute.
Next job is to change the clutch , a new mustang one was ordered from Summit so that will happen soon. I have been busy with other things.
Donna has been thinking for a bit about upgrading from the XR8. With her new job she has to park it at a shopping centre all day and was getting over worrying about where it was parked etc.
Well after trying many different options and doing a LOT of running around the replacement vehicle was found and we picked it up last night.
Genuine 2 owner 5.0 AU3 Fairmont Ghia in Organza. Very very nice car. The only things it wasnt optioned with was Satnav and Sunroof. The sunroof will be retro fitted in the future.
Absolutley beautiful car to drive and handles well on the Tickford Suspension without being rough. Still getting used to the leather but.
So now the XR8 needs to find a new home.
Once that is done , my time with E series Fords will be over. I wont be getting another one.
I will even be selling off my pile of E series and XR8 spares!
If anyone is interested in a very very clean EL XR8 that we have been very anal about PM me for info of what it is and what it has.

If i was smart, i would jump at the XR8....but, alas, the money would be better spent on a bigger turbo for the Mav.......

This friday is Don's spin, in said vehicle.................

Cheers

Believe me Daz I wish it was going to be Dons drive in the AU. That way I would have an esky in between my feet. :D
Alas she has been lumbered with the late s**t (oops shift) again so it will be me on my lonesome in one of the goat herder spec vehicles.

I know what ya mean.

When my car went into a garage and fence which wasnt opened, i knew then and there that i was happy to be alive and knew my car was a write off and that i wont be going back to a E-Series.

They have served me well, ED Falcon Futura (still love that car, first car and wish i didnt sell it :( ) and EL XR6 but alas for me i went the holden route as wanted a full change.

For me, has been a learning curve and its something fresh but damn i wish i had that ED falcon back as a project car

Same here. Yes we have had some awesome E series Falcons and some real nuggets. Even the nuggets were s**t with good features.
But we have had a stack of them and its time to move on. I used to miss my old AU1 5.0 Fairmont that I had about a million years ago (paid $25k for it thats how long ago it was  ) but I had started to get over it.
Then I was taken for a drive and given a steer in a certain silver TE50 which reignited my AU fire.
I got the ute then when Don started running around in that and seeing Narelles Fairmont and Daves TE she started to feel the burn too.

Yep it will.
But a Nanna spec Fairmont Ghia isnt anywhere near as appealing to sticky fingers as an XR8. Also with any luck she now wont have every P plater in a VT commodore now wanting to line her up at every set of lights.
