Nik. You are getting too emotionally attached and overwhelmed by yours. It is a conversion. They take time and sometimes you take 1 step forward and 3 backwards.
They are fairly simple to me now but I have done 3 of them in the past. Your one has thrown some spanners in the works I didnt even think about. Just keep plugging away. Its like eating an elephant. One bite at a time and you will get through it , too much in one hit you will choke. Dave. You comments are appreciated. Im hoping it will be a good build too. Dunno about the amazing skills bit but. A true whiz only shows when things go right and throws the f**k down the back corner of the yard so they dont get seen. Motto of the story? Dont go down the back corner of my yard. You will most likely end up with a nasty tetnus!

Oh wouldnt it have been nice to have a dry extra long weekend.
I got the extra long weekend but like the rest of Sydney didnt get the dry bit. Went out into the swamp today and attempted to get a bit more done on the rear quarter cuts. Had a fail there due to the wet so dropped the LPG tank off for testing. Hopefully my parcel that will be a big bit of the build will turn up by the end of the week. The build will now stall for a couple of weeks unfortunately. There is no such thing as a good reason for a build to stall but this is one of the better ones. The original 6 cylinder from the patrol sold on eBay today for a fairly good sum of dollars. The buyer has already contacted me and it is all on. This will put a good whack of coin back into the account after a s**t coming out of it over the past couple of weeks. So I now have to reorganise myself , make space on the concrete slab out the back and pull the motor out and get it ready to be shipped off to Broken Hill. So there will be good progress but nothing that is exciting.

Have had heaps hapening but have been too busy and slack to provide any updates.
This piece of the puzzle arrived a couple of weeks ago. Did some work over the weekend. What do you reckon is happening here? The new body is waiting to have some positive time spent on it. Its now even further stripped then this............

In todays acts of insanity I bought a couple of new tyres for the ute so the 19's are back on it. Looks half ok with a pair of 265/30 19's under the a***.
Mav wise the LPG tank is fitted up and new service line and wiring run. Petrol belly tank is fitted and new lines. Convertor is mounted up. Tomorrows job is pull the top half of the manifold off , fit some injectors and start plumbing and wiring it all up. Im gunna wince putting a drill to a Performer RPMII! I spose you good people may want some pictures hey?

Got a bit done on the nugget today.
Managed to fit the injector cut harness and injectors and get the manifold bolted back on with the tool boys ASSistance. Got some pictures too! Injector cut harness. One fitting plugs straight onto the existing injector and the factory injector harness plugs into the other plug to intercept the signal. Truly plug and play. Harness fitted up. Injector placement. Dont know at this stage if it will actually work correctly or if everything is too far away from the inlet to be successful. Only trying it will give an answer. If it works great , if it doesnt back to the drawing board. Found it hard trying to find a location that was both neat and practical. The Performer manifold has very few places that the injectors could be mounted and less where they could be mounted neatly and still be serviceable. Drilled the injector tubes out to 3.5mm before fitting. Drilled and tapped the manifold to take the injectors bungs , fitted them and plumbed it up. Once again dont know if it will work. The injector bungs could be too far away from the inlet tract. Im hoping the fact that its a vapour system and blowing straight into a pretty big manifold with good airspeed will let me get away with it. There is also the chance that the rubber hoses are too long for it to be successful. Once again will only know once it runs. If its s**t well I need to crack open a can of inspiration. Just have to plug the ECU harness together tomorrow , fit the convertor coolant lines and injector feed lines and some minor wiring and tidt ups and get some LPG. Hopefully the changes Chris made to my laptop today will get it talking to the ECU and I can fire it up and set it for auto calibrate mode. Close but no cigar yet.................

you shouldnt have to worry about the pipes length to much with cold starts, because the system should start on petrol automatically, that will give the lpg time to prime so you get a smooth transition

Looking at that manifold, i feel that my NOS Plate for the RPM2 would have been perfect for the injectors, was already tapped etc for it. You should have asked man. Its only collecting duct in my garage.
