Nice XR6 man! interior looks great!
Just wondering, are those pioneers in the parcel shelf 3 bolt or 4 bolt? If they are 4 bolt how did you get them in? did you have an adaptor or something? cheers |

they are a four bolt speaker
they just sit in the normal hole from factory, then i marked then drill the new holes to suit the speakers at the moment they only have the two front screws in, but since ive installed the sub im going to have to put the back two in now. should be easy enough just have to mark and drill a small hole then use a stubby screw driver.

I got the same speakers and they are currently held in by 1 screw. Although yours look like splits with little tweeters on the sides. But yea, making new holes seems tho only option.. |

yes hey are splits
they are pioneer TS-A1604C 350w 2way i put them in as square as i could with the back seat then marked where the litttle tabs for the screws go. then used a 2mm drill then used the screws that were supplied with the speaks to attach them . did the same with the splits just had to drill a larger hole for the wire to fit through. pretty easy when you think about it.

Just mark, drill, screw. ill give it a go when it's cooler though.. |

here's a bit of a back story of the last 3 years for those who are interested.
after a long day drinking and getting angry with my last cricket club for not being pick in the grand final but was the opening bowler for 3/4 of the year, i left the ground intoxicated and sideways before smacking the curb. and pushing the whole rear axle approx 4-6 iches to the drivers side. turned the watts links into boomerangs and destroyed the passengers side rim. i fixed her up with a spare open wheeler and stock mags for a bit, till i decided to transfer everything from the red to the blue XR6. ive always like the blue over the red and now i had a reason to swap it...... so over a few months everything came out of the blue car and that's how it sat for a while till i had time to take the red one off the road. about 10 months passed and i finally pulled my finger out and had every thing done and running again just in blue now.... everything was sweet for a while till i notice i started to go through coolant. after replacing the heater tap i hoped i fixed the issue............but behold i had done the head gasket. so after registering the missus laser i took the XR off the road yet again and took the head off only to find i hadn't blown the gasket i some how cracked the head between the valve on cylinder 3... it took me another 2 months to located another tickford head, in the mean time water had got into the engine bores and rusted them shut..... so after hunting around and many choices to take, i decided to do a full rebuild pistons, crank head the lot. i managed to find a engine off FB which was less then 10,000ks old with .050 ACL race pistons in and all new bearings. so after having my new head refurbished parts collecting began. many many hours on Evil Bay i was lucky enough to pick up a ACL solid 1mm copper head gasket for $99... A CMS 2a cam from FB for $80 odd Plus my new job as the store manager of the new Aldinga Bay Autoshop i can get a lot of goodies at a dirt cheap price. so after ordering all new gaskets water pump belt tensioner dissy alternator power steering pump things are starting to come together nicly You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

well over the last couple of weekends ive managed to get a fair bit more done
after looking for a new Water pump bypass tube and finding out there are no longer available, i found a reasonable one and cleaned it up. cleaned and installed my alternator and starter motor, installed my new dizzy and ignition coil. bolted up by flywheel, clutch and bolted on my cleaned ( best as i could ) T5 trans. after spending about 3 hours cleaning my engine bay of old oil and grease, i slipped the new motor in to the bay. and started to reattach all the extras. installed the new radiator. new NGK iridium spark plugs. new Topgun 10mm Pro Racing blue leads. im just waiting on my radiator hoses, overflow bottle and a new silicone hose for my air intake to arrive You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
