I must be one of the most unluckiest C*** on this forum when it comes to my car....
About 2 hours ago I had my grandmother, grandfather, my GF and our dog in the car. I was driving to maryborough to get it registered.... My grandparents were there because it's going to be in my grandmothers name. Anyway, doing about 100 K's and the car is handling like a pig all over the place. I thought it must need a wheel alignment and it could have something to do with the cut K frame.... If only it was that simple... The car's passenger side rear end hit the b**ch with a thud, the f**k studs snapped off the hub at about 100-105. So got a tow back to the workshop (only made it 6 k's) and $176 later I am at home trying to pull the hub off the EB to put it on the EA down the road. For some reason it won't budge. Any tutorials on here? So sick of s**t going wrong with this car FML.

{USERNAME} wrote: f**k mate, you are having an absolute shocker. Haha, gotta roll with the punches I spose, so, so, so, so disappointing and disheartening though... I got the calipers off easy enough (they were kinda frozen to the disc) and went to get the bolts behind the hub undone so i could slide everything out and I hit another big f**k off snag.... One of the bolts is spinning, so essentially it's F**k. I can't get it off the EB. gay gay gay gay gay (no offense to anyone that may know a gay person or even be gay... although I doubt it on this forum).

{USERNAME} wrote: f**k man, what a pain the in a***. Its a bit hard to give any advice without actually seeing it. But if anything is seized have you tried simply pouring water over the parts? Nah man, I haven't. The plan is to soak it with some WD a few times before I go to bed and give em a go in the morning. I doubt I'll get anywhere if I can't take the spinning bolt out, though. Onto another kinda related but not really questions... I know I can't use the drivers side hub because it's connected to the axle, but in my searches about an hour ago, I found gold hubs from a falcon in a pic that weren't connected to anything. Anyone know what these hubs are or have a pic of them? My mechanic mate wants to see them.

Are you talking about gold rotors? They might be the DBA gold series. sorry can't help with your problem as i simply don't understand the problem lol(not saying there isn't one). Good luck with it, Regards.

Cheers mate, nah I'm talking about gold hubs. Anyway I had a crack again.... The bolts behind the hub are continually spinning A mate of mine suggested new wheel studs instead of a new hub and s**t. So I'm gunna see if that's a feasible option, if it is I'll pick them up tomorrow. f**k this car aye, I'm almost ready to throw a C**k through the window....

i assume your trying to remove the rear axle???
you need to pull the disc off the axle to get to the nuts.. the 4 bolts/nuts that are behind the axle hub need a socket on the front and the rear as they are bolts with nots not studs with nuts... |

How do I get a socket or anything on to them? I can only get the bolt on the inside, they go into the hub??? Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the advice! you need to remove the disc rotor from the axle.. there usually is a large philips head screw that holds them to the axle..then wiggle the disc off.. once you remove the disc rotor there is a hole in the axle face so a socket can get to the nuts.. |

I knew I had to get that off. I don't have a big enough phillips head

Had some bad luck with this heap of s**t.... Got the axle out of the EB and it's a 28 spline, the EA is a 25. Had to buy one from a wrecker.
Should be registered by monday (fingers crossed)

Wreckers in Cooroy will sell me a complete T5 conversion for a falcon for $660. I don't want to F around with it by myself without someone who can basically do it. I'd be learning. Anyone here wanna get paid to whack one in? I am handy and I'll help wherever possible. I just don't know what I'm doing, lol.
