I got three of the same sub, as long as I don't blow an amp I'll be right lol
And speakers are unfortunately a while away now I've invested in rims :/

Picked the Vixen up yesterday YAYYYYY

My god, I knew FG's obviously had more power than the BA's etc, but not this much more... The difference is quite noticeable, and that's coming from the BA that had a full exhaust, intake and underdrives... The FG is still quicker easily.

Such a comfortable car to drive, already driven 100km and the fuel usage is quite good considering I've given it a bit here and there. I have missed the feel of the 4.0L power.

She does need new brakes though, which I'm ordering tonight. They're on the wear indicator, and the squeal is annoying. For the price, quite a good car. I'll put up photo's once I give it a proper clean tonight.

Very nice there mate :D clean too. Yes for an XT they do have amazing power especially in the 6 speed auto. Im guessing yours is a 6 speed auto if not then it will be the 5 speed. Enjoy your new ride and have fun moding it

haha it's only the 5sp auto yes, but it's still leaps and bounds ahead of the old lazy BTR 4sp the BA had lol

yeah the BTR is a solid box when looked after, but ratios are horrible

my mitsu changes out of 1st gear at 20-30kph........ really short, but lots of fun off the line :)

All boxes are solid if looked after. Hence why I'm getting it serviced and an external cooler to bypass the radiator is being installed.

The one thing I loved about the 4sp though, was you could put it in to 1st at roughly 75km and just compression brake that s**t haha sounded awesome. Not as effective in the 5 speed, but still works a little bit.

Just about to head downstairs to remove the little restrictor in the intake (apparently it gives a little more more air, not huge gains but any is welcome).

Air restrictor is out. Sneaky little thing it is. Took about 20 minutes to get out, and ended up resorting to WD40 to lube the bastard up... Barely noticed the difference in power, but throttle response is a little sharper, so it's a benefit and it's also freeeeeee

Just gave the car a clean. Have some stone chips and slight scratches here and there that will need touch up. Will have to give it a proper polish when I find the time. But other than that it came up quite nice even if it was crazy warm outside.

Just picked up a set of 4 BA MKII rims for $300. Have a couple bits of gutter rash, but nothing a bit of sandpaper won't fix really. 2 tyres are nearly gone, but the other 2 are Achilles ATR Sports which have about 80% left in them, so they'll go straight on the front of the car. Only need 2 new tyres, rather than 4, winning.

Also booked in for a tune for the 18th of January at East Coast Customs. $1395 for a full tune. Will have everything good to go by then easily. Just gotta find a growler on the cheap, otherwise I'm getting one brand new @ $500 (not that desperate just yet... lol)

Should see some decent power out the FG for the next Test n Tune :)

I'm broke as s**t lol not for a while. Funds for rotors, pads, etc are dry.
Will focus on getting rims in good condition, cause that will be mostly labor which is free. Then doing interior with vinyl while funds replenish/Christmas time happens (I get paid, but little expenses eg holiday with parents lol).

Oh and exhaust... That will be priority one when I come back from Christmas. Hopefully have hotdogs etc waiting here for me upon return... Possibly.

I'll be doing cosmetic once I finish with the minor power mods.

Once the tune is done, I'll save up again for sway bars and SSL Kings and Monroe GT Shocks. I'll get Pedders down the road to install for me, that way the links for front sway bar is set correctly :)
